    Seller refurbished:
"Item may have some minor marks and scratches on it. Doesn't come in retail packaging. Picture shows for an illustration purpose only."

Please add this to title and description.
When you don't mention anything we assume that it's brand new.

    • Thanks for the update.

I can't stress enough how much to avoid "refurbished" ps3 move controllers.

Since the VR launch the prices for the batteries for these went from being a few bucks to being 30+…

The original batteries in these die very easily if kept under the wrong conditions which most of them have been in, unless you can take them home and stress test them you don't know what you are getting, and even then they can last a month then die.

  • Are these used or refurbished?

    • Refurbished

Is this 1 controller or 1 pair of controller?

    • +1

      Description says it's for '1' controller - a pair will be $80.

Agree - always misleading when the image shows two.

Not a good deal, these are pre-owned PS3 versions so will probably have completely dead batteries. Better off forking out another $29 and getting version 2 brand new for $109. Not to mention it's misleading and you only get 1 controller

Yup, every week im getting begged to do a "repair" on these and people are shocked when I tell them even at wholesale cheapest I can get the battery for is $25…

    • what Dos Version 2 offer ?

  • Are the PS3 move controllers able to be used with PS4 VR?

    • Yes, same thing but have a different charge port. Mini USB instead of micro.

      • different batteries too, first gen were easier to thrash.

        • I've got two gen 1 and tbh they're fine.

          • @[Deactivated]: i've been through quite a few of them that are good, but its a low ratio of good vs bad ones.

Out of all the ones i've come accross finding for every 10 good ones were finding a few hundred bad ones.

            • @typhoonadventure: You've bought and tested several hundred of these??

              • @[Deactivated]: I run a trade group and do repairs for a lot of people.

You can see why im getting old and cynical haha.

It's a bit of a crap shoot with luck, once these get used, you need to keep them charged or store them with a charge, people have a habit of letting them drain and then storing them, its the easiest way to kill the batteries.

Pair that with 1st gen not having great batteries with high failure rates to begin with it's a fun recipe.

It wouldnt be so much of an issue if the price of replacement batteries had not skyrocketed.

                • @typhoonadventure: Makes sense as mine were new but have been kept on charge on a charging stand.

  • I don't disagree with the comments above. If you're in the market for two controllers then get a new move double pack for a small $ increase over these oldies. But, if you've already got one at home from the PS3 days and just need one more then this isn't a bad option.

    • I'm after a brand new pack on move controllers not sure where to get them at a good price

  • TBH if you want move controllers take a look at cash converters. You can pretty regularly get a pair for like $60.
