  • When do you need to activate by?

    • I think by Nov 5th.

      • it says "off ends Nov 5th", but I suspect you probably have at least 30 days to activate the sim after purchase

        • Dunno about that because it says buy the sim from a retailer and activate the sale price by Nov 5th. They don't send you anything, you just pay the $49 at time of activation.

        • It's not a starter sim kit, it's really get a separate $2 sim (Lebara currently selling it for $0.50) and during the activation process it'll ask you to select a plan and this is where the discount appears.

The small long term plan isn't available as a voucher.

    • Hi Nix1016,

The SIM must be activated or ported by 5th of November.

  • Do international calls to the 10 countries include mobiles or just landlines?

    • Mobiles too from my wife's experience.

    • +1

Yes to mobiles as well I ring overseas mobiles all the time with Lebara.Hey at this price you just cant go wrong

    • +1

      Hi Woozie3,

International calls to 10 countries include both, mobile and landline.

The plan also comes with unlimited text to 60 countries.

      Thanks

      Team Lebara

  • is it 4gb each month? or only for the total of 180 days?

    • +1

    • Hi Jonski,

      it is 4GB each month.

      Thanks,

  • How does Lebara compare to Kogan?

    • -3

optus vs vodafone? depends on location i guess

      • +4

my bad, i was wrong. both voda

    • +1

      They're identical, both Vodafone.

      • +1

Not talking about network coverage, talking about customer experience - billing, customer service etc - I remember in the past Lebara could be difficult if you wanted to cancel your service…

        • Since then they have become a wholly owned subsidiary of Voda. Plus, nothing is easier than ending a prepay - just stop paying.

    • Hi BDI,

Both Kogan and Lebara are on the Vodafone 4G network.

However, Lebara does include unlimited international inclusions with most of their plans.

      Thanks,

      Team Lebara

  • I'm guessing it's only $49 for the first 180 days? And then back to normal price after?

    • +1

Or whatever on sale then, it's prepaid not locked in.

    • Hi Rith,

yes, this plan cannot be stacked.

      It is a welcome offer.

      Thanks,

      Team Lebara

        Hi Sunny,

It sums up to be 150 mins each month to India.

However, the plan does come with unlimited SMS to India.

        Thanks,

Hong Kong is not a country. It's a 'Special Administration Zone' of China.

        • So only 9 countries then. OK, I'm calling my lawyer, law suite to follow.

          • @Wardaddy: Pictures of your lawyer's law suite after you pay his bill thanks.

            • @Daabido: What do you call a public servant in a suite? The defendant.

              • @Wardaddy: You do mean suit, not suite, don't you? Funny joke though :-)

        • It's actually Special Administrative Region hence Hong Kong S.A.R

  • Can this offer be stacked? To how many months? TIA

      Thanks,

  • Can you buy this and stack the 360 day offer for $178?

    • No. " if you are on an existing Medium or Large plan, you can stack further but only up to 24 months maximum." This is a small plan.

    • Hi Rxjb,

Yes, this can be stacked with our Medium 180 Day Plan.

But you would have to select the Small 180 Day Plan while activating your service, and then use a Medium 360-day recharge voucher to stack.

      Thanks

      Team Lebara

      • i already have another sim so i am an existing customer. can i buy new second sim and avail this offer. i will keep both services active.

      • Does that mean new customer can buy the Medium 360 starter sim package, when the sim arrives, they activate but choose the $49 small 180, after that is processed, stack the medium 360?

Another question, I'm an existing customer, but can this welcome offer be applied if a port-in another number?

      • Lebara, this is not what your web site says. It says "Remember, if you are on an existing Medium or Large plan, you can stack further but only up to 24 months maximum." This is a small plan. If it's stackable that's great, but that is not what your T's and C's say.

  • can you buy more than 1 to extend the offer?

    • No, it's a new customer deal. After you buy the first one you're not new anymore.

      • +1

        Damaged goods.

        • +2

          Hymen transplant needed.

  • no india calling in the 10 countries is a deal breaker

    • +2

Can honestly say I've never needed to call India.

    • Not a deal-breaker if you are from Brazil.

  • Hi Team Lebara, is a previous customer considered new?
IE, was with Lebara a month ago, now with Kogan. Is this offer available to me?

    • +1

      Hi Snuke,

Yes, this deal is applicable to you too, if you wish to port out your number or get a new Lebara number.

      Thanks,

      Team Lebara

      • Thanks, should I buy a new $2 SIM, or will the last one be fine to use?

        • +1

Last sim is permanently deactivated, you'll need a new sim. Lebara currently sells the sim alone for $0.50

I'm hoping to get a reply is you can purchase the Medium 360 starter sim package, activate with the welcome offer small plan, then redeem the medium voucher.

          • @kururii: Hi Kururii,

Yes, you can purchase the Medium 360 Day SIM Pack on sale.

Please make sure, you activate with your welcome offer first, before using the recharge the medium 360 Day recharge voucher.

Please also note, you would be on Small 180 Day Plan for the first 180 days and then move on to the Medium 360 Day Plan.

Please send us a DM, if you have any more questions.

            Thanks,

            Team Lebara

          • @kururii: Thanks Kururii

        • +1

          Hi Snuke,

You would have to purchase a new $2 SIM.

You can buy it online, or in your nearest retail store.

          Thanks,

          Team Lebara

          • @Lebara: Can I port on the day of 5/Nov? Or have to be before 4/Nov?

  • Which are the 10 international countries?

  • When is the last day you can buy this deal.
    Not activation date

  • +1

    Nov 5th.

  • Can someone explain why these long term prepaid plans are always wayyyy more expensive than monthly plans? I mean, at $135 for 6 months, that works out to more than $20 per month…when you can get similar unlimited plans for almost half of that…

    • +1

It's a mystery, wrapped in an enigma. Plus, no one ever pays full price, except those foolish enough to use auto recharge.

      • But these offers are always limited to new customers only…

        • Not so. Look at the 7GB plan currently on offer.

  • Can you confirm the ETA FOR international roaming? Struggle to work without text messages esp as Banks send SMS authorisation code.
    Ta

  • Can I stack this with recently purchased $89 180 days pack? I haven't used the voucher yet

    • +2

If you activate this one first you can then stack the $89 one.

      • Thanks, that means my second half year will have the 89 dollar plan applied before I use up the 49 dollars plan?

        • Correct.

          • @Wardaddy: hi Wardaddy,

I have purchased 2 *180 days packs from last promotion.

I only managed to recharge when i activate the service.

Try to recharge another voucher, system tells me that PIN is already used………..

I haven't used it anywhere, this is the first time that i tried to top up exisiting 180 plan, could you help me?

            • @coboz: Sorry, I don't work at Lebara, suggest you call their customer service.

  • I want to use this (as a new customer) and then stack it with the $178 360 days deal. However, I want to activate the sim card on 5th of November, the last day I can activate the sim card for this 180 days deal.

How should I proceed? So I basically just need to purchase both of them and then activate the sim card on 5th of november and then recharge it using the $178 360 days deal?

    • Hi Sorasora,

      Yes that is right.

However, the medium 360-day offer has now ended.

      Thanks,

      Team Lebara

  • $50 for 180 days(6 months) seems to be good…is there issue when you port out? i heard months ago something about paying money to port out.

    • had no issues. Bought sim on wednesday, arrived today and activated and ported into my number all within 10 minutes today.

    • That's Primus that charged for porting out.

  • Shame video calls are not supported.

  • Team Lebara,

This offer seems to be misleading when you say unlimited calling to 10 countries, I have taken the plan and after making few international calls in first 10 days, it now says insufficient balance for international calls. How is this unlimited?

    Regards,
    Devesh

    • unlimited calls in Oz and to 10 selected countries every 30 Days.

Was the country you called to any of the following:

Brazil, Canada, China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, United Kingdom and United States.

      • Thanks for responding, no all international calls were made to India.

Is unlimited talk time only allowed to above mentioned 10 countries?

        • Hi Deveshmaheshwari,

Yes, and to any other country, you get $3 international calling credit.

  • I just thought I would mention that my wife just went onto this offer 2 days ago and is very happy.
I bought the SIM at Coles, and that was on special too. Came home, ported over from Vaya in 45 mins, and everything works like a treat.
    Thanks OP, happy customer here!

    • I just switched from Kogan. 5 minutes, painless. Already texting mates around the world.
