It doesn't discount again if it's already on sale, so still $9.99.

Anyone have any issues checking out? Tried on computer and phone, error when using paypal, and nothing happens using credit card.

    • +1

The website is often unresponsive. The last sale was so damn frustrating.

    • +1

This happens to me when I also use a gift card and attempt to pay the balance with credit card. I don't know if this happens when using credit card as sole payment method as I want to use the gift card first.

It's driving me crazy. I called them last twenty percent of sale and obviously it's still not fixed.

    • +1

Im getting the same. Unresponsive when checking out.
      Just gave up

I would like to buy the Sony DSX-A410BT Media Player for my lemon, old-ass 2002 Astra TS (it's still rocking the original CD player, and it's crap), but not sure if it's compatible as I'm electronically challenged. If the head unit fits, would I need extra cables/other stuff for the installation? Anyone who knows car audio/electronics who can help? Even the speakers are the original and they're really bad as the sound comes out all crackly and shite.

    • +1

Usually you will need a wiring harness. The idea is that you wire up the new head unit to the harness, then plug the harness to your car.

Can you find your car here? https://www.ryda.com.au/car-audio/accessories/wiring-harness…

I guess someone with more car audio knowledge can post a better source.

      • +4

Dr google. If your happy splicing or soldering wires, its actually really simple… one at a time, a pair for each speaker, constant power, ignition power, maybe a few more for power aerials/gps. Harness are easy, bit often not cheap for what ya get.

Thanks for the info. There are several Holden ones listed, but it doesn't give you the option of saying which Holden. It's alright. I was thinking to change this car in another year or so. I will keep it as it's now, as there's no use of upgrading its audio system since I won't keep it for too long.

        • +2

Its really simple. If you can solder you don't need to buy anything. But its easiest just to buy both of these adapters instead, then it becomes plug and play. They're called ISO adapters, you need an ISO adapter for your brand Head Unit, and one for your Car.

Heres the adapter for a 2002 Astra:
          https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Holden-Astra-1998-2005-Ts-Hatch-…

Heres the adapter for a Sony Head Unit:
          https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/APP8SP3-Aerpro-Radio-Wiring-Harn…

I Googled photos of a 2002 Astra dash and it looks like its single Din and will fit straight in, assuming your dash is the same as this:
          https://i.ytimg.com/vi/LM0TMX5MOhU/hqdefault.jpg

          • @jeppetto367: Yeah, my dash is the same as the one you posted here. I thought I read somewhere that I would need a steering wheel wiring/harness or something, and another for the antenna etc. The whole thing seemed intimidating to me. I might just buy the head unit and get a professional to do it for me, I think.

            • @AussieDaddy: You only need a steering harness if you have steering wheel controls and want them to work.

Antennas are generally build into the head unit or the head unit harness.

Hey AussieDaddy, just in case you are not aware of this option, you can get a Bluetooth car charger. Plug it in your lighter socket, connect your phone to it and the charger then transmit an FM signal to your car radio. Worked wery well for me with great sound quality. I git a Roidmi Bluetooth charger.

      • Yeah, used to have one of those ages ago, but that was just for the FM signal one that I bought from Jay-Car a decade or ago. I might need to check out the new ones with the Bluetooth capability. Cheers

I applied it to the catalogue special Bendix $79.98 2 for one special and the code applied okay to the price
    $63.98

Yes the RainX did not discount further.

I did not go complete transaction though as I do not really need it right now.

Thank you op, you've saved me $93.

  • Meguiar's Gold Class car wash is $20.00 (down from $31.99): https://www.supercheapauto.com.au/104054.html

Also interested in their clay bar kit $28.79 (down from $35.99): https://www.supercheapauto.com.au/377216.html

But buying both means a lot of work :|

You can buy the clay bar kit from another retailer on ebay for $22 with the discount code.

      • Which discount code?

        Found it: PGREAT

  • Great! Can anyone recommend a steering wheel cover they have used? Thanks in advanced.

    • Aldi have one for $7.99

    • +1

      what car and wheel size?

      • -2

Car is virtually irrelevant. 99.9% of cars have round steering wheels.

For the above mentioned Aldi cover
        Size: 37 ~ 39cm

More info @ Aldi special buys page

        • That's what I need help with. Will a 380 mm steering wheel cover fit tightly around a 14.5 x 4 inch steering wheel? I don't want it to hang loose.

I've never bought a steering wheel cover b4.

          • @smuggler: 14.5" = 368.3mm

So… Maybe. Depends on the size variance. The 380mm should go on, but may feel loose.

I think the Aldi one would come with the 60 day return on it. Buy it, see if it fits. If not, return it.

If there is a Supercheap near you, do the same.

Personally, I hate steering wheel covers. They feel/look like sh¡t.

            • @pegaxs:

I just want something with more grip. My steering wheel is made of that hard vinyl.

  • Can someone recommend me the spark plug good brand for Mazda CX-5? Thanks.

    • Just use the typical Japanese one.

      NGK Iridium Spark Plug ILKAR7L11

      • Thanks, bought this one.

      • Just one quick question, what about DENSO Iridium Spark Plug?

        • NGK lasts longer.

          Same performance, though.
REmember to do check with the store person or just give them a call just in case.

        • DENSO is an official part supplier for Toyota, if that matters.

  • Will a 380 mm steering wheel cover fit around a 14.5 x 4 inch steering wheel?

    • yes, it does! I tried it out. A little bit loose but not enough to move the cover out of place.

Used the $6 one from AliExpress (same product but different packaging). Worked well.

  • Beware their delivery service. They're using Toll.

Toll refused to come to my address despite accepting the delivery order. Now they want me to pick up the items from their depot which is further away than half a dozen closer supercheap stores. (Basically that's like paying to have the goods taken from the nearest store and dropping them off an additional hour away at a random location). Supercheap has tried to get Toll to deliver to my address and both times when they said they would (despite originally saying they wouldn't), they have not turned up on the day. At this point it's 1 month in 3 days time since I placed the order (a sizeable one >$1k) and I'm looking to cancel it as it's wasting my time waiting at home all day for a delivery that doesn't turn up (and according to the track n trace - doesn't even leave the depot). The issue Toll has is the delivery apparently needs a flat bed truck, and the verge they claim is too sloped. I've had other flatbed deliveries at my address before, plus - the biggest item is a tool trolley - much easier I would have thought to deliver then the giraffe gracing their 'freight' page. That's not all that's gone wrong with this order that has exacerbated the delivery time - but that's enough from me for now.

    Buyer beware.

    • I will agree that Toll have been a pretty poor delivery company. JB HiFi use them too so it puts me off ordering from them.

    • You actually mean Supercheap use Japan Post. At least they paid too much for it.

      https://www.smh.com.au/business/toll-becomes-part-of-japan-p…

    • Toll is a big elephant company, too old and too useless in many services.

  • Received my email from Supercheap about this sale….. 45 mins after it ended…
