    Wow shipping is pretty pricey….

    • +2

That's Shopping Square for you. Still a good price overall though…

  • These are heavy so the high shipping is probably warranted in this case. Not sure if HN still have these on sale though.

  • -1

wow HN had it cheaper? i thought it would be hard finding it cheaper than msy or pcdiy so i did not bother to check else where..sorry if no deal..

    • +4

No, HN were offering the USB2.0 version - not the USB3.0 one.

      • +1

        aahhhh..ok

      • Yeah I reckon this is a great price considering USB3.0

        • i agree, i got the usb2 for $99 but this is better for sure, well done shopping square

  • Shipping ruins the bargains. Too bad they closed the Kingdford store.

    • +4

If you factor in total cost delivered $104.95+$19.95 = $124.90
still cheaper than the cheapest on staticice i.e $128
and you do not have to step out your door.

      • +1

Yeah, $3.1 better off. Nothing exciting.

  • Pretty amazing deal IMO for a USB3 2TB drive.

  • I shared postage and got a total of 2 with a colleague and it ended up being 120 delivered to Brisbane.

    • Can I in or is it still late?

    • -1

How?, it says one per order.

  • I can't believe Shopping Squares are selling this cheap!
Wait…more surprise!! They have also "correctly" mentioned the RRP!!!

Is USB 4.0 being released next month?
Otherwise I'm sure 2012 is true (and they are trying to clear the stocks so the owner can have a last vacation @ Bora Bora beach

    • Never heard anything about USB4 @@

      • Yeah me neither :D

        • lol wth

      • Yeah but it is all about thunderbolt now!
        Ref: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thunderbolt_%28interface%29

        • stop trolling man
Thunderbolt ain't backwards compatible plus almost all these interfaces are limited by hard drive speeds
No other device other than the new MBP has this port and for PC users the actual interface is coming late this year so unless you only have friends with MBP, no point in getting a thunderbolt compatible device.

If you were making fun of Thunderbolt I salute you

Have you been fooling around with your time machine again? :P

  • Anyone has a coupon code for shopping square?

    • I'm spewing, I had a $20 signup credit from them but they never had anything I wanted at that stage…of course it's expired now they've got something I actually do want! :(

  • I want this too - any voucher on top would certainly sweeten the deal though! :)

Come on danilochan - how about an OzBargain super special such as half price shipping? You'd certainly get a few more takers then! :)

  • it's only one per order. boo

  • I wouldn't buy this drive.

It worked fine for a few months then it started disconnecting itself from the computer (like software and without touching the cord). It no longer gets picked up by disk utility.

Just returned it to MSY for RMA. Now I just have to wait 2 weeks to get it back…

    • I had the same problem with mine (from MSY), I am in the process of
getting a refund, as I ended up RMA'ing 3 consecutive replacement drives..
(2x lasted about a week, 1x was DOA)
      Caveat Emptor on this one..

    • i removed mine from the case as soon as I got it and put it in a PC, i think the case is the problem, the drive is fine. fingers crossed

      • +1

whats the point in getting the USB 3.0 case?
Could have just gotten the internal hard drive..would "probably" have been cheaper
Unless of course they don't sell the HD seperately

  • not bad price but still the ugliest HD on the planet

    • +2

Really? I reckon it looks pretty nice - the old school hardware switch is a nice touch for those who keep the drive plugged in.

BTW if you're near an ARC computers store you can drive down and get one from there for $123 like I did - same price as this deal with the shipping, but you don't have to wait for the shipping.

      • PCCG has it for $129 for those in Vic (like me). Thinking of getting one, had my eye on the 1.5 for a while, but the 2TB's only a little bit more now :)

    Out of stock now :-(
