      Cause it's fod… der!

  • TOmatoes are not on special - $8.98 a kilo yesterday… I suspect it's flood and price gouging related.

    • +4

Look on the bright side, the tomatos came pre-washed.

Tomatoes are relatively good value in Aldi (I was in there today) … sorry can't remember the prices.

Wingepool on 9 Jan: "Woolworths is charging $6.98/kg for gourmet tomatoes and ALDI is selling 1kg bags at $2.69/kg. How can there be such a massive price difference".

I think you will find the price differential with Coles & Woolies may be similar now, two months later.

        • Aldi's tomatoes prices today:

          Roma: $3.99 a 1kg bag.
          Gourmet: $3.99 a 1kg bag.

          Truss: $5.99/kg.

…. up since early Jan because of the weather … but still MUCH lower than the fat twins.

      • that's (kinda) like complaining when you get hit on the head with hail, and someone says, well, at least it didn't make you get wet

  • thanks!
