  how do currency conversions work on the hotels.com website? do they normally charge in USD?

    I've made many purchases on uk.hotels.com in AUD with the quoted AUD amount being charged to my credit card (28D). The underlying exchange rate also looks OK, for the USD today it's 0.71, CBA is 0.71115. Try getting that sort of exchange rate from Travelex!! I'd be more worried about extortionate skimming by both eBay and PayPal than Hotels.com, so look closely at the terms .. :-( .. !!

  Are you still eligible for hotel rewards and would you still get cash rewards? If not then it makes this a non deal but if so then it's an amazing deal.

    How is this not a deal if there are no cash rewards? This is 15% off vs 5.6%, ignoring all other variables.
