First posted deal ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ””๐Ÿ””๐Ÿ””

Was looking for ways to exercise my Amazon Prime free shipping when came across this deal.

While it says "Apple Devices" , Android users vouch for it saying it works perfectly fine.

It seems like alot of people use it for Xbox \ PS controllers ๐Ÿ‘Œ

Cable is 3.5mm to 2.5mm , should work with Quiet Comfort varients.
Sorry for any confusion.

  • So im guessing you can use this to make a 'dumb' pair of wired phones into a pair with a mic? Assuming they take a standard 3.5mm patch cord.

    • +1

      Considering their cable is detachable.

Some complaints float about the sensitivity and quality of the mic , but I can't really tell definitely since I haven't tried it and didn't investigate either.

      But yeah!

    • +1

No, because this is a male to male cable. This works with the QC-35 because they have a female 2.5mm port on them.

  • If you intend to buy it for PS4, it doesnโ€™t work.

  • +3

Will these work with the QC35s? Lost my cable and need it occasionally for the rare flight to connect to the entertainment system.

    • +1

      I'm interested to know too.

    • Eh , I was wrong.
The cable is indeed 2.5mm and 3.5mm , so should work!

      Was corrected below.

  • +4

I can confirm that the Apple cable does NOT fully function with either my Galaxy S6 or S8.

  • +1

I suspect you could get aftermarket ones for less than $5 delivered.

    • +1

      Oh heck yeah.
I learned the hard way with my MMCX cables that expensive doesn't mean better. Even tho 19 is mid and not high, it means just about nothing :(

AliExpress is my new best friend.
My best and last friend ๐Ÿค

    • Havent seen one yet that fits the grove that the 2.5mm jack in the headphone. Then again i havent really looked hard enough.

      • I got one of those 2.5mm to 3.5mm for my Bose headphones for like $2 delivered and it supports mic.

  • My Apple cable does not work with Xbox. My Apple cable will work on my Samsung note 5 but with reduced function. That it, the volume buttons dont work.
I wish they had android ones out for that price.
Oh, and can I just say that this also fits the QC35s? Makes the more functional on so many levels.

    • According to Seqwool above:

      Sadly , no.

Seems like the QC35 takes 2.5mm , the cable is 3.5mm on both ends. You'll need an adapter. Better off getting a cable that is already 2.5mm to 3.5mm.

    • +1

While 'fault' is correct , I indeed stated that. But I was wrong , as the comment below this is correcting me.

Sorry about that. Should work as it's 2.5 and 3.5 ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿค

  • +1

Nope, got one right here. Official Bose for qc25 is 2.5 one end and 3.5 the other. Here's the link where I purchased mine. I got the idea as my friend had the qc25s and the cable fit in my QC35s. https://www.bose.com.au/en_au/products/headphones/headphone_โ€ฆ

    • And I also buy this one for my PC as I need a more sensitive mic for Dragon.
But watch, the ones with colours (orange green etc) often have 3.5mm each end.

Hope that helps someone get more use out of their QC35s!

Thanks for that, caught me pantsed :p

  • Does this stop the annoying "feature" of the QC-35's where noise cancelling is disabled when the super-sensitive mic is active, and all you and your caller can hear is every single sound in your environment?

    • Never been an issue for me.
That feature is so that you arenโ€™t shouting through the mic due to the noise cancelling impairing your ability to judge volume.
It wouldnโ€™t affect the call quality either side.

      • Yeah I figured that is why it happens, and would be useful if it's didn't actively amplify every little noise around you. I've read from Bose themselves they increase the gain to pick up your voice. It happens in games like PUBG Mobile, where voice chat is treated like a phone call to enable the mic.

        • Would be good if it were configurable.

Curious. For those who ordered the 'Apple Devices' Cable, does yours have an Android Logo on the cable? Or have I been sent the wrong cable?

    • +1

Turns out the page has the wrong item order number for the 'apple devices' page. Listed as 720875-0110 when it should have been 720875-0010 , so that's why I got an Android cable.

Got a refund from Amazon support.
