Better deals out there than this. The Good Guys at Chadstone Homemaker Centre, next the Matthew Flinders Hotel at 675 Warrigal Road, Chadstone said that they will beat this price and supply a 3D transmitter plus a set of Sony 3D glasses. JB your beaten again. JB not as cheap as they used to be. JB now just another mega conglomerate.

    • To be fair the JB price is their advertised price and the Good Guys one a negotiated one, so I reckon you could get a better deal at JB.

Also worth looking at the Panasonic VT20 range at JB. $1496 for the 50”. Someone reckons they got it in store in Sydney for $1300!

      • When I went to The Good Guys Chadstone Homemaker Store it was ticketed for $1517 and the salesman said the price was negotiable to a cheaper deal with the bonus 3D glasses and 3d transmitter worth ($167). The ticket said the offer expires on the 14th March 2011.

  • this tv is a very good one but is being cleared out cheap to make way for the new model.

  • I wonder if the earthquake will have any effect on TV prices and/or supply? I think the yen dropped, but that will probably only be temporary. It will only be if there is any factories in the north east that supply problems will occur (that's if any Japanese TV's are still made in Japan).

  • I went to 2nd's world at Auburn yesterday and i saw a Samsung 63" 3D/LED TV for exactly $3000. So if that suits anyone i suggest you drive there NOW!!! That is honestly the best deal i have seen.

    • whats the model number?

  • Here is an example of typical Harvey Norman, Clive Peeters, Domayne or Joyce Mayne pricing.

The tv in the spotlight is the Sony KDL46HX800 where deals under $1517 including the 3D glasses and 3D transmitter are available at The Good Guys Chadstone Homemaker Centre.

Pick up the latest Harvey Norman catalogue and what do we see but typical Gerry Harvey pricing of $1798 for the KDL46HX800 and no 3D glasses or transmitter. This reinforces my warning of do not expect anything other than an occassional loss leader at billionaire Gerrys' stores.

Gerry you are not fooling enough people. This why your business is in a downwards spiral. Gerry give away your billions and share the love.

    • To be fair, these big price drops are pretty recent and the lead time to print a catalogue must be a week or so. Nobody would pay the full price in a catalogue unless you don't like haggling or want the 10 years interest free type deals they do.

I think most people on here know that advertised pricing (from the big guys) is for mugs.

I do however, get sick of his bleating about people buying from OS over the internet. As far as I'm concerned cut out as many middle men as possible.
