I have this SSD in the 250GB version and it has failed on me twice in the last year and am looking to replace it. It just corrupts data and stuffed up my OS that prevented a boot up and the entire thing needed to be reformatted.

1/10 - would not save $40 again.

    I think youd need to work out why corrupted …if hardware hasnt failed might be user or os issue 10 ssd in household all work fine and many are crucial

  If you had two fail the exact same way I'd say there is something else at play here, whether it's bad motherboard (SATA ports, controller etc) or something else, RAM, etc. Maybe even a BIOS update or something.

I remember when 1TB SSD were going for about $900 and people laughed at me when i predicted that they would be around $200 in a few years time. And here we are.
