      This comment aged well haha.

Can get for $47 with guaranteed release date delivery.

Main downside of pre-ordering from TG is that they make you pay extra for express delivery on release date.

Was even worse for Fifa 19, where even if you paid for express you weren't guaranteed to get it on the day as they only sent it out the day before. Meaning many people got it 3 days later (due to the weekend).

      • I recently purchased Black Ops and got it realse day with Free Delivery.

        Was very happy with it

        • Of course, it's all good if you do get it on the day, and many people do. It's just that you should always think twice when the seller themselves mention they can't guarantee release day delivery and instead recommend paying extra for express.

  • how come its showing up as me being able to get it for $52 :O anyone else? There's this long code for it.

    • +1

      That's a targeted code.

  • +1

    Woooowwww, Amazon killer!

  • Knew I was holding off for a reason. Thanks guys, picked this one up.

    • $47 from amazon :(

      • -1

Yeah, cancelled it and ordered from Amazon in the end. They were good about it.

  • -8

Physical disc I take it? Wish it was a code…

    • -4

Hmm 2 people must be slow today, all I did was ask a question.

      • -2

        Hi mate.
Seriously though, who wishes it was a code.
Is it so u dont have to get up off the lounge to put the disc in?

        • +3

A code is worth nothing after its use, basically disposable. A disc in a case has collectable / resale value. I know which one I prefer.

          • @tommy-darko: Ah resale, you guys are keeping EB in business, good.

            • +3

@smartazz104: Nope, only ever sold on ebay and made more than enough to go from XBOX 360 to PS4 because I picked the right timing.

              • +1

@tommy-darko: Same. Although CEX give pretty good trade prices for store credit or cash.

            • @smartazz104: Resale?
Well thats obvious, plus i get a slick disc and case for the collection.

          • +1

            @tommy-darko: Right on buddy.

        • -2

What's wrong with a code? You aren't impressing anyone if you have to keep swapping discs so who cares about being lazy; it's about the convenience.

        • +2

For Xbox, some people have multiple consoles and a digital code allows the game to be played simultaneously.

        • I would much prefer a code. With an xbox one library of over 500 games I wouldn't have space for all the disks.

    • +1

This is definitely a physical copy, yep :)

  • +1

no too late to cancel my amazon order!

  • Do you think orders to Brisbane will arrive on day of release?

    • +2

Brisbane Metro is a pretty good shot. Outer/regional areas are a tougher sell, but that's true for most states. No guarantees obviously since we can only control dispatch, but fingers would be crossed for you.

      • +2

lol. Cheers. I'm in Metro, so I'll riskit fordabiskit

      • How confident do you feel about Perth? You'd need to dispatch Monday to be comfortable with a Friday delivery I reckon.

        • Honestly WA and NT are generally the ones that have the longest stretch but we've heard of parcels getting there between 2-3 days.

    • I ordered spiderman with them in Brisbane metro, arrived the next monday.

      • Same here!

If you want on release of even the day before best to go to a retail store that are opening up at 10pm on the day before release.

        • Agreed - came into this thread to pass on the same feedback. Pre-ordered the previous Black Ops 3 deal (first time customer with Gamesmen) when release was a Friday (apparently stores early released the Thursday night, whatever) but didn't get the package until Tuesday. Located in Ryde, Sydney

If you pick someone else to buy thats $50 and put in PACK20 code you will get 20% of the 2nd item (20% off the lower priced item).
This way you could get $10 off the $62 essentially.
Just have both items in your cart and put in code at checkout.
    2nd item can be anything.

    • thanks for the tip! did a group buy with a mate at work - 2 copies with express shipping, price was $57.30 each

      • Your welcome mate.
Actually i ordered black ops 4 when they had a similar deal and mine was delivered on release day.

    • I want to buy two copies and apply the PACK20 code but it wouldn’t accept it.

      • +1

        Maybe keep trying.
Unless ebay have pulled that code, it should work.

        • For some reason I’ve been having issue with eBay codes of late. I even bought the latest Sony noise cancelling headphones at full price because the code just would not go through.

        • Yep definitely my end. Even the P5OFF code won’t enter.

  • Thanks OP. I was still uncertain whether I wanted to get the game, but I think this has decided it for me.

  • +2

Game launches Friday, so most likely it will be delivered to me after the weekend if using standard post.

I might just pay the premium and use my JBHifi vouchers.

    • +1

      Express is only $1.50.

So I went ahead and ordered it.

  • Not long to go….eeeeeeeeekkkk

  • $7-$10 cheaper than the competition.

  • +1

My only issue with Gamesmen is they require a signature on delivery. Nothing worse than getting home from work to a AusPost "we missed you" card and having to pick up the game on the weekend.

    • +2

      Take the Friday off mate

    • I find parcel locker works pretty well for me. Not sure if it works for parcels require signatures though.

      • Using a parcel locker implies you signing for it.

        • Thanks

It’s been a while so I forgot we have to provide ID on registration.

  • Does Amazon price matches ebay?

    • +2

I asked, they refused. I cancelled.

    • Normally they don't.

    • +1

Amazon price is now $62 so factor in 6% cashback and the prices are almost identical. Even better if you pre-ordered with the 12.5% cashback that ran the other day.

      • cashback is calculated on price less GST though

        • +1

By my calculation (I'm no mathnerd) I ordered at 12.5% cashback so total cost after cb should be ~ $54.95.

          • +2

@bym: Use code APP15 to get it for $47 from Amazon.

  • Ordered. Thanks!

  • +1

Thanks. I just cancelled by Amazon pre-order for this one.

    • No need to cancel Amazon preorder as they've lowered their price too and preorder price guarantee applies.

      • For those who got the original deal with 12.5% cashrewards, assuming Amazon deal should work like:

        New price $62
        12.5% cashback on new price, pre-GST = $7.05
        Total: $54.95

Which is better than this deal. Even better if cashback is calculated on the original purchase price.

      • Correct - at the time I did it, 27mins ago, it was still $69. Confirm it's been dropped to $62

        • Use code APP15 to get it for $47 from Amazon.

  • Woo!! Smashed it guys, take that Amazon, cancelled it and got this instead!!

    • +1

Spoke way too soon. Use code APP15 to get it for $47 from Amazon.

      • lol, tell me about it. But now, can use it on another game.

  • Amazing! Well done.

  • Fantastic price, just pre-ordered thanks again. :)

  • I get an error saying this code can't be applied to your order.

  • Just waiting to amazon to price match.

Once they see massive cancellations they will have to honour the price….. but it's not written in stone, so will wait and see what happens.

  • Absolute bargain here, thanks.

  • Anyone have any idea why the code doesn't work for me? My profile settings are set to Australia with an Australian shipping address. It just says that the code cannot be applied to my order…

  • Thanks great price, cancelled my Amazon pre-order and got one here.

  • +1

    $62 at amazon now

    • -1

lol, snooze, they lose on this one. Too late.

      • Unless you preordered with the 12.5% cashback and now get the lower price with the pre-order guarantee, duh

      • If price is now 62, those who preordered earlier on Amazon would get it cheaper from the double cash back

        • I thought the cashback applies only to the price at the time?

          • @RocketSwitch: Do the calcs for me just in case I stuff it up again. Pretty sure it comes out cheaper than these guys though.

            • @Julius: Yeah, no one knows for sure if the 12.5% is applied to $62 instead of $69. If it is, then it's $54.95. If that's the case, I screwed up since I cancelled my Amazon order.

      • Amazon has the pre-order Price Guarantee eligible for this item, so the price they charge will be the lowest price between the time you place your order and the day of release. If you pre-ordered at $69, they should charge you $62 (since that's the lowest price right now).

  • Do you think Sydney will be OK for standard post to receive on/before release day?

    • Should be. Im in Sydney and they got Black Ops 4 to me on release day.

  • +1

Will you guys deliver to a Parcel Locker? I assume it’s fine as you use Aus Post

Also: I’m in Brisbane and would ideally like it to get to my parcel locker by Monday. Reckon that is doable with standard post?

    • Yeah will parcel locker work?

    • +1

      Absolutely!

Regarding standard, that one's a bit trickier since the range is broader. We'd honestly recommend Express (it's only $1.50 more) just for peace of mind.

  • Thanks OP…Ordered one and used eBay Gift Cards…cancelled Amazon

  • +1

I was about to cancel my Amazon pre-order but remembered I ordered this when Amazon had 12.5% cashback so it's still cheaper than this price luckily.

For everyone else though, this is a no brainer!
