Hi all, my first bargain post! Long time deal grabber, post up-voter, and competition enter-er.

Scouting for iPhone deals for my daughter, and this site popped up. Only 1 in stock and free shipping.

So of course, shopped around and also read a previous OzB post in March about OfficeWorks potentially price matching for OzMobile, so sent the Mrs into action. Managed to wrangle an OW pricematch at our local in Jandakot (WA) after a fair bit of hassle. Had to be the same model in the same colour

Worked out getting the price match + 5%, so got it down to $949.05, picking the phone up tomorrow.
Not bad considering this is cheaper than the price of the 64Gb model everywhere else, and a fair bit off retail (~$1250) at the moment.

      Yeah got the wife to ring up and then visit the store (I defer to her bargaining skills), was a bit of a hassle, but got it sorted.
      Didnt have any in stock, ordering it in.

        I just tried price matching on their 1300 nbr and they took my order (requires verification approval) but the rep noticed a difference in code (OZMobile:MPN: MQ6M2X/A) and officeworks code is MPN: MQ7M2X/A.
        So now I have to wait for her team leader to verify and approve it.

    Man Iphones are a complete and utter rip off

    Not saying this isn't a bargain but they have some how convinced that 3rd generation tech is still worth close to 1k….

    Just tried to do this over the phone and it didn't go through because the model number is incorrect on the OzMobiles sites. The model number listed (MQ6M2X/A) is actually for a Gold 64GB version of the iPhone 8, therefore Officeworks wouldn't honour the deal. The model number should actually be MQ7F2X/A, and this looks like it's an error on OzMobiles end.

      The deal posted is for an iPhone 8 from OzMobiles. An Officeworks price match is not a deal so you can't neg just because you didn't manage to get a price match. The price match is only mentioned as additional info.

      I would call Officeworks again and try your luck with a different rep.

    @muttman, Mate you were lucky, Products page clearly says “These phones are not sealed (They have been opened and checked)”.

    Officeworks didn’t do the pricematch for me after reading that.

      Tried at another Officeworks, Melbourne Russell St., same thing no pricematch for since it’s opened box, but it was worth a shot. :)

      First one was at Officeworks, Melbourne Elizabeth st.
