  • Does this have QC 2.0 or 3.0 at all?

    • -5

      QC 3.0

    • +4

QC2.0 and only one port can use it at a time.

      Source

      • Thanks for clarifying 😏

        • +11

          It's important to be clear.

      • What is the point of having 2 ports but only can be used single at the same time?

        • +1

It'd have to be much larger to support dual QC. They're probably assuming you don't have two QC devices.

        • +3

You can use both ports at the same time. What OP says is that only one will deliver QC voltage.

          • @bio: Oh ok, cheers. I hardly need quick charge

  • +1

No offence but Do they sell original Mi Power Bank as there are too many duplicates in the market?

    • +1

Which one is the original power bank? It wouldn't have been the first one as that was faked more than any other.

      • +1

I know they have got a good product and that's why other small business trying to make duplicates out of it.
So all I was asking that if this seller sells the original ones. However I got my answer :P

    • The one I got last deal was legit, according to the barcode

  • Anyone know whether the fast charge function will work on the new iPhones?

    • +4

No as iPhone's require USB-PD and this is using Qualcomm's Quick Charge technology. It will however charge at 5V/2.4A for Apple which is a tad better than the usual 5V/1A found in most iPhone chargers.

      • Ahhh. Thanks for that! :)

  • Local stock?

    • Yep Shopro are local stock :)

  • Perfect timing going overseas in a couple of weeks.

  • how good would it be with usb C port

    • What device do you plan on using with it? If you have a phone that supports QC over USB-C then it'll get some benefit out of the QC2, otherwise it's going to be limited up to 5V/2.4A. While a USB-C power bank would go to 5V/3A and higher with USB-PD.

      • My Pixel 2XL. Potential E480 if it can handle it for emergency?

        • +1

It would be limited to 5V/2.4A for the Pixel 2XL and not suitable for charging the E480 either. For both you're better off with a USB-PD power bank.

    • +2

There is Pro model with USB-C and QC2, but it's $16 more expensive.

      • Would that fast charge iPhones that use PD?

        • +4

Nope as it doesn't have USB-PD. ZMI (Xiaomi's power bank manufacturer) have a couple of USB-PD power banks but there hasn't been a deal on those in quite a while.

          • @Clear: Would the pro version do the job? any suggestions for USBPD?

      • -1

Note that model only does USB-C Input, and not output.

        • description:
          "Type-C USB charge and discharge…" ?

          • @ripprind: I don't own the Xiaomi Power Bank Pro, but from what's I've researched, the USB-C Port is for input only.

            • @RichardL: ok - certainly wouldn't be the first time an online shop has misleading information

  • Anyone know the estimated shipping time? I need it by next monday

    • Where is you location?

      • vic metro

        • +3

Hard to get it on Monday as post office has picked up already, wont post out until tomorrow.

          • +1

@Gearbite: Any chance of Gearbite/ShopPro stocking the ZMI QB815/QB820 USB-C PD Powerbank in the future?

            • @RichardL: +1
I would buy a QB820 if on sale!

            • +1

@RichardL: Hi RichardL, we did talk to ZMI regarding to this model, but they wont have this model shortly, that is why we did not get this product. But we are pretty sure xiaomi will have similar product shortly.

  • Has the deal expired?
Won't accept paypal payment and cant choose CC as an option

  • do these charge accessories like my Beats-X headphones …..
my current power bank doesn't do that. Just stops charging anything other than phones.

  • Thanks OP, picked one up to replace an old version 1 that had died. Have another version 1 still in regular use and love it.

  • So it says “lightweight and convenience to carry” but it seems the weight is 230g which sounds inconvenience to me.

    • +2

Do you rather the inconvenience of a flat battery instead

  • Do I need to have a USB-C and special charger to charge this power bank? I bought one and I'm thinking how to charge it. I'm quite new to this stuff.

    • get an adaptor…

    • +1

To charge the Power Bank, you need a Micro USB Cable (which is supplied with the Power Bank).

You can use a standard USB Charger, but just note that charging may take a while if you don't have Quick Charge.

      • Oh thank for reply. That would be no problem. I will charge it overnight and it would be ready for the rest of day. I assume it can keep my GoPro and iPhone running for a good amount of time.

        • +1

Just a correction, you'll need a Micro USB Cable to charge the Power Bank (which is supplied). Not USB-C.

Should charge your iPhone and GoPro just fine.

          • @RichardL: If it comes with the power bank I'll be good to go.

  • +1

Hey guys, bought this power bank a couple of months ago and was using it for my S6 Edge which worked a treat. Recently upgraded to the S9+ that has USB-C now, however.

Just a question. To use this power bank for the S9+, would I just need to buy a USB-A to USB-C cable?

    • +1

      Yes that's right.

    • +1

would I just need to buy a USB-A to USB-C cable?

      Yes

  • +1

Thoughts about the other product they're selling at $33.95? https://www.shopro.com.au/mobile-accessories-5/xiaomi-mi-pow…

Claiming 32% off is supposedly good buying (or not)?

    • +2

I signed up just to check to total price GST included and delivered lol.

Very good price for local AU stock including delivery.

Has only ever been a few $ cheaper delivered from China in the past ( and often not at all with all the customs problems for power banks ).

Great power bank that supports QC3 in and out, also low voltage charging. Bit heavier and thicker, but awesome for those long flights and long distance travelling in general.

      • +1

Thanks Oz, I'm thinking for camping trips and (I work in orienteering - coaching, setting courses etc)being away from power sources with heavy app use…

        • +1

I have purchased multiple power banks over the last decade, and this seems to be one of the best and value models around. My two of this model both came from China but work flawlessly. With AU stock from decent seller for this price is even better.

As they are made from white polycarbonate ( hard textured plastic ), I recommend getting a cheap silicon cover for it for those slippery drops ( this also makes it lighter than aluminium ).

As I love having a power bank around in the car/bag or when travelling, I have bought and used various models/sizes over the years.

This one has large capacity with fast charging, but I also like having a small/thin/light and hence much lower capacity power bank to use for short train/on foot trips as a emergency/extra capacity just for one phone/device for the day too.

          • +1

@ozhunter68: Great tip, the only thing i dont like about this model is it easily slips and falls.

  • Weight? Dimensions? How is the battery degrading curve? Cheap Lithon Ion batteries don't last as long as quality ones, just like Acer cannot compare to Apple.

  • Charging around 9V, 1.5A.

If I try simultaneous in & out, both drop to 5V only, and low current out. So probably useful for overnight charging.

  • How long does the delivery take? Mine said dispatched on 20 October but I still haven't received it until today.

    • Me too

      • Definitely not shipped from Melbourne :(

      • Speaking of the devil, mine arrived today!

  • does shopro have a rep on ozb?

    • Gearbite is the rep for Shopro.
