Does it work on other items in Australia? YES. I've randomly tested the PUMPKINS code on a Playstation VR bundle ($594.95 down to $535.45) and a Sandisk internal SSD ($139 down to $125.10).

This may be an option if you're looking to buy something for 10% off but doesn't meet the minimum spend amount (note - UK minimum spend amount is lower than AU).

Option 1:

Find what you want on eBay.com.au then change the URL at the start to eBay.co.uk for easy purchasing.

If above doesn't work then try this.

Option 2:

Considering what happened in the last deal, the country switch doesn't seem to work anymore, so you will most likely have to make a new account at eBay UK to take advantage of this offer.

Add random UK address and use AU mobile to confirm account via SMS then add AU address as preferred/Primary Delivery Addresss .

Tip : Use Dummy email by using existing email to register at eBay UK without creating new email id.

Your email: [email protected]
Dummy email : [email protected] ( just try any combination starts with +) This works with Gmail. Haven't tried with other email services so do check before you buy.

You will receive email on your original email id

    Ebay gift card time.

    • I couldn't buy any gift cards. Tested it already

I didn't actually checkout but should work if the voucher can be applied?

It works for me, I just purchased one

        • Did you guys have to make a new eBay account on ebay.co.uk or could you please let me know how you managed to buy them because for me it says code could not be applied to my order just changing ebay.com.au to ebay.co.uk but when making a new account on ebay.co.uk it says i need a US ebay and paypal account to buy gift cards

          • +1

            @mkheav: yup same problem here

edit: you have to change your primary address in the ebay settings if you want to remove the blockage

          • +2

@mkheav: I created a new account on ebay.co.uk. For an answer to your US ebay and paypal message see below

    • But don't credit card exchange rates typically cost 1%, so your $1000 of gift cards paid for in GBP actually works out at 9% off? Or are you paying in $AUD?

      • +1

some cards like 28 Degree or ING will waive the exchange rates.

        • That's not correct, they still use MasterCard or Visa rates, which cost 1%, and they only waive an additional foreign currency fee if criteria are met. Only Wizard used to give real time mid spot rates independent of MasterCard rates, which still essentially cost 0.5% I believe.

          • @chyawala: I don’t believe your right. There is never any mention of 1% or 0.5%, and I always get the full rate. Below rate for NZD is 1.087, compared to 1.081 on xe.com even.

This is from 28D website. “You also get the benefit of the Mastercard Global Exchange Rate on all your purchases when you choose to use the 28 Degrees card. Here’s a link to check the current exchange rates: https://www.mastercard.com/global/currencyconversion/

            • @Coops1: My above comment is about when it was Wizard. Now you no longer get real time lock in, and are tied to MasterCard rates, who will choose the worst rate for you over a 24 hour period, at their rate, not xe.com middle rate. It's not that there is a mention of 1% or 0.5%, but that essentially is the pip spread over the mid rate and what you end up paying in the end. Wizard is not what it used to be.

      • You're paying an Aussie seller who charges in AU$ but also shown in £. Bought a few times now.

    • Are the gift cards loaded with an AUD value?

      • +1

Correct, you are purchasing Ebay Australia gift cards using UK account.

Once these have been received, they are redeemable on your main account should you wish to order through that.

  • +2

It does actually seem to work on gift cards
    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/eBay-Digital-Gift-Card-5-to-200-E…

    • I got : to buy a gift card, you need to use a US ebay and paypal account. Odd..

  • How many gift cards can we buy?
    Like 100 x ? Or 200 x ? to maximize the max discount

    • +2

Max discount £50 (A $91.66). So maximum would be $910 worth of gift cards.

      • SO we can buy 10 gift cards with the same account?

        • +2

Seller limits you to 5 cards per 10 days. So 4x$200, 1x$100 would be max value

      • oh godamnit i literally bought a TV yesterday, 50 pound saving wouldve been nice

      • Thanks OP
        I got $200 x 4 and $100 x 1
        save $90 what a night

    • +3

Just bought $900($200x4+$100), saved £49 something

  • Woolworths Supermarket Gift Card
    Woolworths Wish Gift Card

Serious question, do they price jack as much as the Oz ebay site?

    • +1

Sitewide is not related to price jacking.

      • ah ok. Obviously I don't understand this properly. Thanks for the reply

  • +2

Bought gift cards, thanks op, many thanks astroberryz

With ebay gift cards I'm getting:
"This code can't be applied to your order"

    • also getting the same… any hints?

    • make sure you're on ebay.co.uk :)

    • Same issue, i am on https://pay.ebay.co.uk and it is giving same error - "This code can't be applied to your order". Any recommendations?

      • +4
        • Ensure this is an account that you've created on ebay.co.uk not ebay.com.au. I use one which is like [email protected] which still shoots emails to [email protected]. (Test it with your email)
        • Ensure your "Registration address" is a UK address, I just give a hotel address to make it easy.
        • Ensure your "Primary Postage Address" is your AU address.
        • Thank you very much.
Saved $50…..that's a carton of piss.

        • +1

          Worked for me, thanks!

  • Trying to buy GC, but it gives the message 'To buy a gift card, you need a US eBay and PayPal account.'

    • +5

Ignore that, that's a bug which is meant to say Aus eBay. That just means you postage address just isn't set to Aus.

      • cheers got it to work :)

        • how did you get it to work?

It states I cant apply the code? when i have this error.

          • +1

@someguycalledpaul: what does your error say? My problem was solved by registration address uk, but primary postal is aus.

  • +1

Great deal, bought $900 worth of gift cards. Cheers

  • +1

Thanks mate.. got my $900 cards delivered too :)

  • +1

    Thanks, worked for me!

  • Same issue, i am on https://pay.ebay.co.uk and it is giving same error - "This code can't be applied to your order". Any recommendations?

    • +1

Check your primary registered postal address. It should be any random UK address

      • thanks, let me try and confirm

      • was getting the same, now I'm getting:
To buy a gift card, you need a US eBay and PayPal account.

      • I tried this then I got the message:
"To buy a gift card, you need a US eBay and PayPal account."

        • +1

Now Add AU postal address and make that one as primary postal. No need to change registration address ( keep that one as UK address)

          • @Being Askhole: does not work with my paypal but credit card is my only option, is it normal?

            • @Louis Litts: Do not use credit card or other payment method..Payment will go through but it will be rejected later
Use only Paypal method, By the way, whats the error you are getting when using Paypal ?

              • @Being Askhole: "Select a different payment option.
Contact PayPal customer service to resolve this issue."
after created new acc, linked paypal, redirected to aus address, still being rejected

                • @Louis Litts: Then its Paypal issue. Your paypal account might got temp restriction.
Call paypal or login to paypal via Web browser to check the same. Sometime you get few steps to perform verification at paypal account to fix that . If you do not see those verification steps in paypal account now then check back again after few hours (before the expiry of this deal) to try your luck

                  • @Being Askhole: i think so. tried with different paypal account, still same issue, give up, tks anyway

                    • @Louis Litts: same thing for me :( first paypal account "need a US ebay" 2nd PayPal account "This Payment Option isn't available"

  • +1

Will this count towards credit card spend and will I have to pay international transaction fee?

    • You'll only pay an international transaction fee if you buy something outside of Australia.

  • Are the cards electronic or do they have to be delivered to your home
    - for eBay gift cards
Edit: will they also work with eBay discounts e.g Podcast code??

    • +1

Electronic - emailed within minutes. Last for 3 years. No fees

      • Finally got it, took 6 hours

        This is the current error

  • Just purchased 900X3 aud
when try it in the four account, it does not work any more

    • +1

Paypal temporary restriction as it may detect multiple big transactions as unusual transaction to avoid fraud. Feel free to call paypal or log into paypal at Web browser to see if that is the case.

OR Paypal seller buying limit to same paypal account .

  • Worked for me 20 seconds ago.

    • It's not allowing PayPal anymore… they're quick on blocking this

      • yeah they just blocked it on paypal

      • yeh i'm getting the same - wasn't fast enough

    • Even tried VPN to UK… :(

  • Unable to use paypal !
