  • Broadband / nbn are not for me. I want to use SIM card with data, just can’t find any cheap SIM card WiFi router for it. Anyone could help? Thanks

Probably best to ask on the forum… Or better still Whirlpool forums.

    • Yeah I did the same. Moved away from NBN. As I am with optus, I use optus ac800s with a router. If you have netgear r7000 (using xwrt vortex) or asus router, you can plug in a 4g modem.

    • try netgear aircard series with dock. draytek does that as well. but they are not cheap.

    • Dovado routers are fantastic and work with pretty much ANY USB data card (Inc wifi modems, e.g. Nighthawk M1).
Alternatively buy an NBN modem that has a 4G backup, e.g. Telstra gateway pro.

  • Strange that the headphones retail at $289 but are $304-340 on eBay

    • Someone say price jacking? :)
Asus ROG gear is frequently bumped up…

  • So how much is the router?

    • first line of the deal…..

      • "ASUS RT-AX88U RRP $569!
ROG STRIX Fusion 500 value at $289 with RGB lighting!
Nearly 50% off offer for the router and starting from tomorrow"

So is it $569 or 50% off that?

  • If you are going to quote a price, you link the price….. Others have priced far higher, and I don't believe $569 is the rrp anyway.

Headphones have lighting now?? It's like the world is being run by 9 year olds.

I feel like I should have fought back harder when every single kids toy started requiring batteries for the flashing lights and whistles. People who grew up with all those toys now expect every single other thing to also yell and blink to try to maintain their attention.

    • Led in gaming equipment isn't anything new. Pc gaming equipment have had flashy leds since the 90s. Think the leds actually been toned down in recent years…

      • You sure? RGB isn't dying down…. After all now we have speakers that light up…

Now just need an AX compatible wifi card…

  • how much $ are we likely to get if we sell the bonus headset?

    • Well you can go check ebay prices as, referenced above as a guide… Though check sold listing's.

So, which are the participating outlets?

"Next Gen" router still doesn't have multi-gigabit ethernet. And it's selling for almost $600 dollarydoos?! Pass for me.

Heck they're even advertising the WiFi speeds as 6000mpbs, 6x faster than the wired gigabit. This is getting silly.

    • The same money spent on Ubiquity Unifi Gear would net you a hell of an awesome network.
This is just overpriced gaming rubbish.

  • Terrific deal for those who were going to buy one anyway! Cheers OP!!

  • this SIM cards routers are great if you got great coverage from your mobile provider but if you don't like me with Optus it won't make a single difference, if it wasn't for my slow ADSL right now, I wouldn't had been able to post this comment.
