Lebara have increased the data on their 180 day new customer offers. Valid for new customer activations until 5 November.

Same detail as the deal already here https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/410018 but increased data. 4gb is now 5gb ($49), 7gb is now 10gb ($89), and the large deal is now 20gb per month ($99).

What’s the offer?

You can bring your own number or select a new Lebara number to get up to 70% discount on all our 180 Day Plans. Currently, for new customers, our Small, Medium and Large 180 Day Plans are on a massive discount.

  1. Small 180 Day for $49: 5GB (4GB + 1GB BONUS*) each month and unlimited calls to 10 countries for an equivalent of $8.20 per month.
  2. Medium 180 Day for $89: 10GB (7GB+3GB BONUS*) each month and unlimited calls to 15 countries for an equivalent of $14.85 per month.
  3. Large 180 Day for $99: 20GB (16GB+4GB BONUS*) each month and unlimited calls to 18 countries for an equivalent of $16.50 per month.

    Anyone got success stories to share about Lebara? I haven't worked with them before and I'm a bit weary. Sounds 2 good 2 be true. It's presumably using the Vodafone towers?

      I have been on Lebara for nearly 6 months.
      Very happy, excellent coverage and no problems to report.
      I will get this offer for my wife, $49 for 6 months will suit her just fine.

          However, our existing customers are our strength, and we often have promotions that suit our existing customers.

          You can look at some of our old deals on Ozbargain in the last couple of months to get a better understanding.

      Lebara sold its Australian operation to Vodafone Australia in September 2016. I have been using it since last 4-5 months, no issues :)

      Can't stack them as you have to select the offer while activating.
      Sim takes 5-7 working days to arrive however you can purchase their $2 SIM Starter Pack from the following retailers:
      Coles, Woolworths, 7-Eleven, BP Service Stations and Harvey Norman.

            @smogg: Those could be the deal before they went 'blue'. They had a sale just before their rebranding which let you stack upto 4 180 days.

    I just spent $60 on a 12GB data plan (valid for 12 months) with extra 1.2GB free when purchased online from Vodafone. For extra $10 I prefer the longer expiry.

    im reading the TCs for the large plan,

    a bit confused

    it says unlimted fixed and mobile calls to about 18 countries

    then says unlimited text to about 40 countires

    then says $10 per month to spend on international talk, text and sms

    Yes that's correct. $10 credit is to use for the countries which are not in the unlimited calls/texts list.

    Hi,

    When purchasing a starter pack do you only have 2 months to activate?
    I can't activate it and customer service said that is 1 of 3 reasons. Now I have to send them a photo of the sim and packet.

      I think you need to get a sim pack first then when activate the sim you have the option to select this deal.
