Unlimited Talk/Text/100m Int. Calls/4GB $30/Month, 300m Int. Calls/10GB $35/Month, 20GB $40/Month, $49 One Off Fee @ Up. Mobile

011

I'll let the website do most of the talking, but Up. is a mobile virtual network operator that will launch on Telstra's wholesale network.
It's geared towards millennials and created by the generation too.

At the moment, there's an offer to become a Founding Member for $49 one-off, to receive discounts on your bill and gain access to the network 3-months before the public! Customers will also gain access to exclusive discounts on businesses/services partnered with Up. in the future.

The discounts you save by paying to become a Founding Member, pays for itself in less than 12-months!

Take a look :)

Hi Rep, can you please clarify what the actual deal is in the description? Thanks.

      Hi!

Sorry, the title was changed automatically by Ozbargin.
      I've updated it now.

Ultimately, by paying to become Founding Member, you gain discounts on our services for when we launch (on your bill). You'll also gain access to our network as soon as it launches, which will be 3-months before the public.

      Hope this helps :)

    Cringe.

paying a $50 fee to join a mobile network? Hahah no thanks.

    • Which you will apparently get the benefit of in "only" 12 months!

    Looks dodgy to me…

Hardly any info on the website.

  • +1

    its a joke

I'm a little lost on the value though? I thought Aldi Mobile was Telstra wholesale provider too - but they have a $25/30days plan that gives 4GB, unlimited call & text + unlimited calls to 15 countries - which is currently available to anyone?

So pay $49 in advance to get "$$$" discounts, to a network that isn't even live yet, and you're going solely on "by millennials, for millennials" and "we're shaking up the telco industry"?

As a millenial, I'll take a hard pass.

So pay $49 in advance to get "$$$" discounts

      lol

Not a deal. $30/mth for 4GB and having to pay $49/yr? Total min cost over 12mth would be $409 for only 4GB data. You can easily get 5GB of data, pay no membership fee for $25/mth which is total min cost 12mth for $300! So over 25% left. Both on the Telstra 4G network as well.

    Deal Expired?

    Must have been OzBargained…

    • ozbargained meaning being sold out (recognised for good value) or recognised as a bullshit deal not worth the asking price
      I fully agree

  • +2

$49 for joining fee? you've been living under a rock

  • +2

The pricing isnt that good though?

  • The discounts you save by paying to become a Founding Member, pays for itself in less than 12-months!

Not if you get a cheaper deal elsewhere…

created by millennials for millennials? I am a cat. Sorry.

    international call minutes for millennials?

  • +1

So pay a joining fee, no indication of discounts they might offer in the near\far future. Website has little to no information. Get to be Guinea pigs for the testing. Seems these millennials need to catch up to the older generation..

  • +1

And as an aside I pay 15 or so a month for same unlimited calls and texts with same amount of data on telstra network. So get to pay an extra 15 a month for some international calls…

Is this any better than Boost? The $30 Boost plan looks more competitive than the $30 founders plan

Haha, did the Rep bail on us?

    • +4

Lmao, easier to commit OzBargain suicide than respond to all the negs

$49 for joining fee no deal

Did you get business mentoring from scammers or some amateur cryptocurrency inventor?

This is one of the worst deals ever on ozB
Using derogatory title for prospective customers

The discounts you save by paying to become a Founding Member, pays for itself in less than 12-months!

Trying to sucker people into paying you for 12 months in order for them to recoup the $49

gain access to the network 3-months before the public!

Only applies for desirable products, and yours is the polar opposite of that

I can't imagine there can be so much fail in one page, yet here we are

This whole thing reeks of some clueless, fresh-out-of-uni millennial with a marketing degree.
