  • Just be wary. Even though the specs alludes to there being enough bolt sets supplied - there are not….

    • You can purchase additional rack screws for $7.50 for 20 https://www.vfmaudio.com.au/pack-of-20-rack-screws-and-nuts-…

      • Including postage?

        • Flat rate if you purchase the cabinet or free to pick up

          • @asa79: So if require postage, advise that work out how many you need and include in single purchase to save an extra $20 or so.
As a guide my 24RU unit came with 12 bolts

            • @killr: Killr i'm not associated to VFM Audio

I have purchased a wall mount rack from them and found the rack build to be great for the price compared to some of the other cabinets i was looking at at double the cost

  • How hard would it be to add some wheels to bottom of a wall mount unit?

    • Pretty easy, I've done it a few times before… once even just with self-drilling metal screws but usually with nice gauge bolts with split & flat washers and nuts and usually with one or two screwing/bolting through something a bit meatier than just the sheet metal base. Only used smallish casters too so handy for the occasional movement on nice, flat carpeted office floors but definitely not for bumping racks of heavy amps in & out of gigs day in/day out. You'll need something a lot more serious for that kinda abuse.

    • There is no holes but if you dont have any issues drilling your own holes no issues, but there is normal cabinets that are made with wheels on the website

  • I'd go for one of the 12RU racks but the shipping on these is quite pricey and kills it. Will stick with Macarac, decent quality and 12RU 600mm rack is free shipping to me about 300km from Sydney. Maca has a shelf included also but I think it is extra for shelves and just about everything else apart from the rack with the VFM deal. Also the 12RU 600mm x 600mm rack was out of stock when I looked about 3 hours ago just after this deal was posted.

    • Only issue i can see with the 600mm rack from the macarac is that it looks like the sides don't come off, so you dont have any side access, this can make cabling a pain unless you can take the unit off the wall to do that and put back up

    • They seem more expensive for all the accessories nearly double the price. If you live near north of Brisbane pick up is free, which is what I did with the case and most of the parts.
