I have one of these for my Xiaomi android tv set, my Dolby receiver only takes Optical or RCA so this was perfect to split the HDMI out! :)

    • The estimated delivery time usually is 2-3 weeks from Aliexpress. If you want to buy a product with super-low prices, you can always find one. Because there are lots of craps.

  • I wonder if anyone who has one of these could tell me if it would work in the following scenario. I have a new 4k tv and a media centre pc capable of outputting 4k but my amp is 1080p max. My vid card has hdmi and displayport and I was originally looking to get it to output to two displays and run the hdmi through the amp just for audio and the displayport through the tv for 4k video. Im wondering if this box would mean I could just use one output from the vid card and save having to run it as a dual display. The trick is that it would have to convert the 4k single to 1080p or I don't believe the amp will accept it.

If this is the case then i would suggest this is a good price compared to the more expensive units which do the same.

    • I think your amp should ignore the video part, whether it's 4K or 1080p. The only thing matter is whether it's capable of decoding the newer audio signal but if not perhaps your media centre will revert back to standard DTS.

      • Thanks so much for the reply. Will have a play around this weekend and see how it works with both an extended and cloned display.

  • 5.1 did not work for me on Chromecast as Chromecast relied on the EID.
