    You will definitely want to combine this with something to get your money's worth because it is $14 for postage by itself. Though I suppose about $18 all up for a big hardcover book like this isn't that bad.

    Cheapest I've seen this anywhere is Big W online, when they had their one day sale a few days back ($15 delivered) … if you've anything else to order on Amazon to make your order over £25, then its an absolute bargain!!

    I heard it's rubbish - that there are too many photos, and that alot of records have been removed from previous editions. Anyway isn't this book just a big advertisement for Guiness Beer?

      Initially made to answer questions in pubs about what was the fastest/strongest/bests/etc, the idea of the book was created by the owner or someone working at Guiness breweries.
      Idea took off and what not so we now have this book that comes out annually.
      As for ownership it is now no longer owned by the boffins behind Guiness.

    the problem with world record these days is that you can hold world record for any weird or ignorable activities like, "world's longest fart goes to Mr. Brooks at 1 minute 53 secs" etc etc…
