          Their lastest update on FB

        • People were buying using unverified paypal accounts.
It caused hassle, and they lost money over it.

      • This would be why the comment, maybe it was over your head!

$1 Donation means this is $93 inc credit card surcharge, looks like an average price but at least it means we're doing something for the Japs!

not the point, IT estate sucks

      • +2

Why? You go there, pay for the item, walk downstairs to dispatch, grab the items and go.

        • I have only purchased from them a couple of times but i havent had any problems yet. Their customer service isnt top stuff but then again most cheap IT stores dont have great customer service. At least they arent as rude or as bad as MSY.

  • Is this a 7200rpm drive?

  • 5400 RPM

  • any special on Sony laptop? missed it last time.

  • If I donated much earlier (mid january), am I still eligble for this offer? Do I just scan the receipt?

Australia Red Cross will email you the donation receipt. Just email the receipt to us will be fine.

      • What if I donated through Woolies?

        • If you can Scan the receipt and send it to our customer service then we can have a look for you.

      • wow you guys are seriously AWESOME

        love the customer service A+++

Remember that donations over $2 are tax deductable with a tax receipt (i.e. Australia charities, International Red Cross doesn't count but Australian Red Cross does).

    • +1

A charitable organisation is a charitable organisation. They shouldn't limit to Australian Charities. Like for the earthquake in Japan, I donated to the Japanese Red Cross. Not like me ranting will change this but just wanted to point it out.

      • +2

The reason why we say Australia Red Cross its because they provide the email receipt. That is so far we know.

We don't want some one use fake receipt because of this hard drive deal.

The most important thing this the donation is not about this hard drive deal.

  • Appreciate the deal - however do you actually list your store location on your website? I can't seem to find it.
Also, there is no ABN on there either as far as I can see… your store location and ABN should be clearly indicated on your site - I'd imagine a lot of new prospective buyers would be wary if you don't have that up…

  • Funny, I just bought 2x 2TB drives from ARC last night for the same price. I guess I could pick up from ARC, so it did save me a few $ in the end as opposed to ordering from here but then this has the advantage of donations to charity…so.

    • +2

buy from there and donate to charity anyway?

      • Yeah thats what i was thinking but didnt want to say it ;)

    • +2

ARC! Wow - so Australian Red Cross are selling hard drives now. Cool!

        Great call :)
