While looking at the previously shared PADO YL mATX case I've found another from Darkflash that's fairly similar at a lower price. If you want the case in White it'll cost a few extra dollars and you can stack with AliExpress Coins + TopCashback for further savings.

Supports GPUs up to 325mm, compatible with mATX and ITX motherboards, 330 x 275 x 305mm sized chassis, 155mm CPU cooler clearance, space for up to 7 fans including support for a 240mm AIO radiator and front I/O with 1× USB 3.0, 1× USB 2.0 and an audio jack.

In the review section on the listing there's heaps of reviews with pictures and it looks to include the dust filters. Example builds from reviews: 1, 2 and 3.

Any mATX NAS cases more affordable than Jonsbo?

    • I've been looking as well, closest I've seen is around 100 mark for very no name. They will never be this affordable because they usually have the sata backplanes preinstalled for the drives which will add a bit of cost on top of the actual case price.
I'm probably just going to save up for one of the Jonsbo ones at this point

      • I bought the Aerocool P300C from PC Case Gear for $75, literally built in it tonight and it was pretty decent. Looks great in my opinion

    • I built a Matx PC in a jonsbo c6 with 3x arctic static pressure 120mm fans and a 240mm GPU 100mm cheap low profile thermalright CPU cooler from amazon (using the same 120mm arctic fan) and SFX PSU plus Silverstone SFX to ATX Bracket (PP08B)

turned out great. no noise like in the reviews and its as small as a ITX case but i have a full sized matx boars i it. (ASUS TUF B650m-E Wifi

      • I'm looking more for a NAS case with 6-8 3.5" bays to downsize from my fractal define.

        • +1

          Jonsbo N2 has 5 3.5" bays, N3 has 8 3.5" and N4 has 6 3.5" + 2 2.5" but I don't think it has the full backplane for all of them.

          So probably the N3.

          • @Clear: yeah N3 is ITX, I could go N5 but don't feel like spending $300 on it.

N4 fits mATX but has bad reviews

The Saggitarius 8-bay is a popular option but shipping kills the deal

            • @impoze: I've got the Jonsbo N5, and it's fairly chonky - not sure it'll be a downsize from a fractal define (unless it's a define 7 XL). It's as deep as a regular ATX case, about as high as mATX, and about as wide as it is tall.

I don't particularly like the airflow in this case. With something like a fractal define 7, you can get fans blowing directly over the drives, but with the N5 (and I assume the N3), it just has exhaust fans at the lower rear, and given the number of vents in the case, won't always pull air over the drives. I've modded mine to have a couple of 80mm fans blowing down over the drive bays, which helped a lot with drive temps.

You need good airflow in summer, especially with enterprise drives (seagate Ironwolf, Exos or WD Ultrastar).

The horizontal drive bays in the N4 are also not a good idea - drives placed vertically generally run cooler - especially without positive airflow over the drives - not as much of an issue with forced air.

    Crazy low price delivered.

    • You probably couldn't even ship it back for this price

    • Mine took 6 weeks to arrive - so definitely slow freight. That said packed very well in thickish cardboard with foam surrounds top, bottom and sides.

  • +2

Note that it has no fans

Can confirm gets delivered to au no issues without broken glass though, at least for the one i bought

    • +5

There's a bundle with 7 fans on the listing. I'd assume most would prefer to supply for their own, better fans 😏

      • +1

Depends what theyre using it for, i wouldnt want this case nor its fans for my own rig. Quality seems ok but only just haha.

Just commenting so others know the listed price is no fans :)

  • Just a heads up, I believe mATX motherboards overhang the side fans by a few cm.

    • Would that interfere with mounting an AIO on the side?

  • Grabbed 1 white and 1 black. Have a couple builds to do. They also have a 1 per customer limit on this product. so had to order separately

  • thanks. delivery takes 4-6 weeks. i want to house a firewall mini pc in it. at the moment i have a fan sandwiched on the top and bottom to cool it.

  • Thanks for this, I'll be moving my setup into this case when it arrives (over a month!!)

  • Currently the price is displaying $30.21

Cool we are learning new words.
Fantasticcharging = when USB 3.0 charging is too fast to be fantastic.
Big save = NFI what we are saving. Go get big Kev, or big Dave, or big Chipo to sort through the big save sale.

yay! my order finally left china. it's been sitting at an airport awaiting a flight for the last two weeks

    • Lucky you, I've been waiting for a week so I guess I'll need to wait another week for the flight to come?

Are there any estimates for flight length for you?

      • +1

the product page suggests 4-6 weeks, but the estimated delivery date on my order details says october 5. i hope it is not going to take that long

        • I really hope a flight doesn't take 2 months lol

          • +1

@frnaky: these oversized objects perhaps come by boat?

            • @impoze: That would make sense with the timing and size.

Tracking does say 'arrived at airport' and 'awaiting flight'. But I assume they were a bit lazy and just used generic air shipping messages when it's actually shipped by boat. Bit misleading.

            • +1

@impoze: no idea. tracking says my flight has taken off but not arrived. maybe it is going by balloon

  • there are heaps of nifty small form factor cases at the same price point. examples:

    question m5 (17L)
    power train x-gamer m1 (22L)
    power train x-gamer x100 (25L)
    power train p40 (21L)

really comes down to what you want, what cooling setup they offer, etc

    • Need some cheap ITX boards and SFX psu to go with it

    • +1

I recently discovered Power Train and their cases are good. The wood aesthetics on the front of the G1 are real nice

  • my case arrived today undamaged delivered by australia post. looks OK. dust filter on top only. 34 days delivery. 4.2kg on the label. the seller can't be making any money out of them

    • That's pretty good for a heavy item from China. I've waited longer for other bulky Choice items. I noticed they're not shipping to AU anymore - they definitely lost a lot of money.

  • Recieved mine a couple days ago, great packaging and came earlier than the expected date on the Aliexpress app. Great case, tempered glass looks clean and it feels solid and nice.

Pretty challenging to build as expected due to the form factor, and cable management was a struggle. But you absolutely can't complain for the price.

MATX motherboads hang over a bit but my EK 240 Basic AIO fits on the side in a pushing intake setup (however psu cables in the back block some airflow)

I have 2x bottom intake, 2x side intake (with radiator), and 2x top exhaust, all with Arctic P12 Max fans. Cooling is better than my previous DLM21 case.

Overall amazing for the price, no clue how they're making profit as c64 said.
