Lol clearing out stock from 2017 no wonder myer is going broke

Would hate to see the burn in lol

    • LG were still manufacturing the B7 well into 2018 (May i think) so they are not that old overall really. The 8 series were only announced in April. I do suspect these have been rolling on display for a good 12 months though. Good guys still have them in stock on clearance.

Burn in is a real issue although for the amazing picture quality its worth the extra effort in upkeep. I havent seen the new b8 in action but for sport this tv is pretty average as the soap opera effect (judder) is really noticeable coming from a plasma with black frame fill in.

      • Thats good, but im talking about their display stock which seems to be only left running lg demos for quite a long time and them not being shut off properly to reduce burn in lol. Also the GG website always seem to leave old stock as a listing online but I would be 100% sure after boxing day stock would be gone as they had them for $1699 and the new models were to be released soon after..

And I nearly bought one as staff on JB was $1647 but didnt have room for room as I have a 65 series 8 samsung and a 48" fhd in the spare room always regret my decision to this day ha.

  • That's an insane price for one of these if you can find one. I got a good boxing day sale at HN for $1799 brilliant tv but looking to get another for the media room in 65" when they're a bit softer on the wallet.

  • Just picked mine up from Highpoint. Melbourne city had one is stock at 3pm according to stock information on high point computer: worth a try for anyone interested.

I got a B6 display model last year from Myer. Called LG the next day for a warranty claim due to burn in. Got a new one in a few weeks.

    • Fantastic work !! and no questions asked by LG - like - you bought floor stock at a discount- what do you expect t ? no receipt asked for ?

      • +3

They asked for a receipt, and didn't care much about it being store stock. I have gotten my B6 replaced too many times. They gave up and I have a B7.

        • Thanks for the response - I better get into it soon so !

  • So were these all display models or were some new?

Good question - when I open the box I will let you know !

Only the 6 series was worth the price, It had 3D, amazing for space movies

  • Just picked up the last one at Westfield Parra. Might still be some more floating around people, go to your local and try your luck!!!

  • Anyone managed to price match? This would cause a revelation

    • It's a two year old model, doubt anyone will still have any to match.
