why been reported? isn't consider a good deal?

    • 2 reports, for affiliate and duplicated

      • +2
        1. Not duplicated.
        2. Not affiliated with Catch Connect. The link pasted via link from Google search.
        • I think last one(same deal) expires at 15th Nov, so, it kind duplicate.

  • +1

Good deal for me. $5 cashrewards makes it only$10.Thanks

    • How did you get $5 cash rewards?

      • +4

Cashrewards has $5 cashback on this deal.

        • Thanks!

          • +2

@Trishool: Update: Cashrewards has increased the cashback to $10.50!

            • +1

@slowFTL: Oh man you're a legend - thank you! I was so close to biting the bullet with the Kogan deal yesterday. I'd rather the cash back instead of the slightly extra data.

      • How did you get this deal from cashrewards' link?

    • Can you confirm this works?

      • It does but it takes a long time. I purchased mine on 8/10 and it says expected cashback confirmation time is gonna be Jan 2019.

        • No worries. Just making sure it works on the promotional price

  • +2

Looks like I’m jumping from Kogan and Catch back to forth now

    • -2

      Good luck with that.

  • +1

Pretty sure the old (same) deal expired yesterday. So as this one expires in 2 months I would say it's more of a continuation as opposed to a duplicate.

    • I didn't report him, just thought it might be a possibility.

      • Where would we be without the deal police!

  • Has any ported from kogan to catch successfully?

    • Yes, it was hassle free and ported almost straight away.

  • +1

Kogan to CatchConnect shouldn’t be an issue but getting out of CatchConnect is a huge issue. I was (+2 more mates) stuck in limbo for 10 days with CatchConnect. Also there’s this thread https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/397123

    • I wonder if it works better to port out of Catch Connect to other providers, or not only limited to Kogan.

    • I found porting into catchconnect is more forgiving in terms of name spelling, but it will be an issue when u port out - as other carriers likely verify license or other legal documents for exact spelling and if they don’t match, porting will be rejected or stuck for days!!

      • So if I spell my name correctly, will I be OK?

        • +1

Yup that’s wat I found, have done it twice now… I also ported wife’s number that was originally in her name, to my catchconnect account and only to realise her number became under my name when I tried to port out! - cos it failed to port out using wife’s name..

Catchconnect uses name and bday to validate against the phone number when u port out to a different carrier. so if the other carrier uses license to validate, then ur name need to match that of catchconnect’s..

          Loopholes and flaws.. good luck!

    • I also had problems porting out of CC. I ordered the sim in my name, and when we activated, we provided my wife’s details to port in her number.

When we ported out, it took almost 20 days as the decline reasons were not clear and it turned out they had ported in my wife’s number but changed the ownership to my name without us doing a change of ownership request.

I had to request a change of ownership back to my wife before the port request finally went through on the fourth attempt.

      • Exactly wat happened to me!!

  • +1

    Thank you, purchased.

  • Does your connection expire after 90 days or does it auto renew?

    • +1

it renews automatically by default. You can turn it off on the dashboard once your number is active.

      • Thank you!

  • In true Ozbargain spirit good time to get it with February only having 28 days. Makes the most of the 90 day contract. :)

    • +1

Yes, I love the way February makes 90 days last longer. Although it's in Summer so the curtains will probably fade more!

  • How long did SIM delivery take for previous buyers? Quicker than Kogan (or the 'I almost forgot about that SIM' Kogan-Groupon combo)?

    • +1

Would be good to know too. Oh well, paid $9 for express delivery.

    • +1

In my case, it only took about 5 days to get to Far North Queensland.

    • +1

Mine took about 5 days - Adelaide.

  • When does it have to be activated by?

    • +1

30 days after you order it.

      • Okay, thanks!

  • +1

Nice, they renewed this. Best mobile deal ever.

  • There's a similar deal with Kogan too with 17 GB of data per 30 days, edit : Though no cashback. They use the Vodafone network whereas Catch use Optus.

    • I think this is a deal breaker for me then, cause Optus signal sucks where I live. Vodafone is so much better.

  • +1

Beware… I needed a replacement sim. Received within 5 working days. They actually sent two Sims. You must call or online chat to activate. They claimed system error that It could not be activated. They will email when successful but refused to contact me on alternate number. After five days of nothing and a threat of Ombudsman intervention voila.. Finally connected today. That took 6 full working days to effect. Shocking company woeful support.

  • So after this expires it is $89 for another 3 months not $89/Month right?

  • +1

Yes to $89 for 90 days.

  • +1

Sorry guys for the silly question … Can I use this sim in my ipad air cellular to just use the data… Or do I need to buy a data only sim for my ipad?

    • Yes u can. As long as its been activated.
But if you are only after data then Id recommend taking a look at kogan. Right now they've got $4.90 promotion up to 40gb for 30days

  • +1

Thanks for sharing. Just purchased this policy and got 10.5 bucks from Cashrewards, which means only 4.5 bucks for 45GB in 90 days! Bravo!!!

    • What's the cashrewards deal?

      • +1

Cashrewards has increased cashback to $10.50 for this deal.

  • Can't see this offer when i go to catch from cashrewards site? Only the full price $89 one. If I follow link above or just paste URL for promo will CR tracking fail?

    • +2

It is tricky to me as well, I can't see $15 for 90 days on the Catch Connect website, but if you google, you can see. I clicked the link and added to the shopping cart, then visit Cashrewards, clicked buy now, checked out and done.

  • Did you get confirmation yet that cr had tracked the purchase?
From my experience adding things to cart before going to cr often doesn’t work.

    • Yes, I have received the email from CR that 10.5 bucks are in pending status.

  • +1

I successfully ported out from catch connect to Vodafone this morning and it took about 5 mins! I did it on a weekday, within office hours and at a Vodafone store.

  • +1

This promo has just been upgraded to 54GB data. Plus, CashRewards are doing $7.50 cashback at the moment.

  • Hey, just confirming: it says activate within 30 days, or before 9/1/19, whichever is earlier - so buying on 9/1/19 then activating within 3O days would be invalid… My Kogan 365 day plan expires on 9/2/2019, so if I want to get this deal I'd "lose a month" from current plan … Could still be worth it though

    • +1

I will be buying on the last day, so obviously the activation period will have to be extended.

Just a guess - I don't think these cheap 90 day plans are going to end.

  • Can you use voucher in this deal to recharge it?
