Hisense TV Upsize for $1 Promo (e.g: 65P7 $1296) @ Harvey Norman

1250

Just saw this on an ad during the cricket on Foxtel.

Selected TVs only it appears.

Some of the deals are better than others, such as buying a 55P7 for $1295, and getting an upgrade to the 65P7 for just an extra dollar ($1296). The other "upsize" deals on the page seem like they've been cheaper at other locations for most of them.

Unfortunately, I can't find the terms and conditions as the HN website is having some issues and I keep getting Page Not Found for the Hisense products I search for.

After $1 upgrade

Price Model Size
$550 49P4 49"
$596 55P4 55"
$696 50P6 50"
$796 55P6 55"
$996 65P6 65"
$996 55P7 55"
$1296 65P7 65"

  • The cricket on Foxtel is ad free.

    • Watching on mobile (Foxtel Go app), so maybe there's a difference between the satellite broadcast and the app.

      • +2

Sounds like. At the rate they're going they won't get to 50 overs.

        • +2

Well.. its still an improvement from the last game in Perth.

          • +9

@carlJack: What was Wenger thinking, sending Walcott on that early?

    • +3

For the price I would expect all of Foxtel to be ad free.

      • If only. Like FTA you can only watch it recorded so you can FF the ads. Though movies and cricket are ad free.

  • I have a 65P7 - excellent device.

    • +2

is the UI slow and clunky? got the N7 and its one of the few gripes ive had with it.

      • Haven't noticed any probs. I use a wireless mouse/keyboard in a USB port for navigating chrome/opera.

        • Wardaddy, I haven't used the browser yet, is it Opera? Or did you install Chrome? If so how?

          • +1

@subywagon: Native Opera, but Chrome already installed.

            • @Wardaddy: Ah ok. I think I was just using the native opera, where do you find chrome? Thanks

              • +1

@subywagon: On the remote, press the Home key, then Apps, then TV Browser. That's where Chrome is (at least on my TV).

      • I bought one the other week from JB HiFi, the UI is smooth and fast I think.

  • Store only, no Hisense on website, confirmed with chat agent

  • +1

    Best price for 65p7 though

    • +1

I paid $1300 @ TGG about 7 months ago during a big Hisense promo. Lovin' it! With my unlimited 100MB NBN I am sucking up UHD content from Netflix and Youtube.

      • Great price for 7 months ago!

      • Are you sure it was 65P7 not 65N7? P series was still pretty new at that time.

        • +1

Whats the difference between the P7 and N7?

Is the difference quite big and noticeable?

          • @ozeebee: N7 released in 2017 and P7 released in April 2018. Not a big upgrade though.

        • Yeah released in Apr 2018 and you got it for $1300? That's amazing price

        • +2

My mistake, on reflection I think it's an N7.

  • Just did online chat. Was told tomorrow only. And online only. Not sure if that is correct.

    • Seems conflicting information, chat told @leeroys_dad above that it was in store only.

      • +1

Yeah. That’s why I said not sure if correct.

  • +1

65P7 is mighty tempting. Hopefully one of the ebay stores match the price, particularly one of the PEARTREE coupon stores.

    • I wish online ebay store match them with free delivery. But I am skeptical about the delivery services that seen to deliver TV vertically on 65 inch TV. :(
Would like to hear from ozbargainer experience with delivery service on deal offer from ebay store (TGG, Video pro, appliance online).

      • Got my TCL from videopro, the TV was delivered fine… What's the concern with vertically ? Or you mean laying down? Mine was upright.

        • Hi Saluble, thats correct. I heard that sometimes delivery service deliver the tv laying donw. Thanks for your reply. :)

          • +1

@nik: What's wrong with it laying down? I thought that was more of a plasma problem?

            • @pranksta: I think the concern is more about structural stability/protection. As TVs become thinner, more likely to crack maybe?

            • @pranksta: I been told large surface/screen size should have delivered up right. (E.g. glass panel or windscreen) But I could be wrong. :)

      • I bought an N7 75 last year from Ebay, arrived cracked. I saw it actually fall in the truck, it wasn't secured at all. Really sucked as I was mucked around for almost a month. I got my money back no problem. I'm sure a lot of people have had them delivered safely though. They seem to have a real problem with Tasmania so they don't ship down here anymore.

I bought a P7 at JB Hifi the other week and am very happy with it.

  • chat rep told me instore and online

  • Is it $1 to upgrade from 65" to 75"?

    • +1

Nah, none of the 75" Tv's are included.

  • Just looked at their website and don't see any P8's or P9's. Bummer.

  • Damn! Got a 65P7 from Video Pro for $1324 (+$55 delivery) yesterday. It's going to take more than a couple of weeks to get here in Melbourne. Should I try cancelling?

    • +3

I had to cancel with videopro because they used TNT couriers and they only do 9-5 delivery with no option for a courier phone call or text. I didn't want to take the whole day off work so I cancelled it and they shipped it back from Adelaide RTS and refunded my money.

They were really nice about it. So they probably wouldn't have a problem with you cancelling.

  • Hardly and HN's sell P8 and P9s in Melbourne Metro, so be careful where you go to not be disappointed tomorrow.

  • You get a 55P7 for $996. Not a bad price for a retailer.

  • +2

Ahh mate I'll have to sleep on the $1 upsize. Times are tough aye

  • +5

Where are all the hates for Gerry Harvey? ;p

    • Right here!

      • Here too. Bought it dearer at JB recently, no ragrets!

  • +2

Nice deal, too bad its from Harvey Norman.

  • Always cleverly skewed and marketed to what they have excess of. No 75s disappointing. Seems to be the trend is your friend at the moment though. Whole industry is deflating closer to cost of production.

    • +1

There are no 75" because the price difference between 65 and 75s usually start around $1,000.

      • They shouldn't say it then. Fake implication.

  • +1

What are reviews on hisense p6 n p7 tvs? looking for a 65 inch but not sure if samsung or hisense and then is it worth paying $300 more for p7?

    • If you do anything apart from watch just 4k content, then yes.

    • Go and have a look of them, I went to jb yesterday, I can easily feel the difference on picture quality.

  • +6

This may be the reason for the price drops:

    Hisense releasing new OLEDs soon?

  • Was at HN tonight sussing out the Hisense 65P7. It was side by side with the 65P8 and you could definitely tell the difference. P8 was really good!!
Was going to buy the P7 at tomorrow's deal, but preferred the P8. Might hold off until the P8 drops in price (hopefully to $1300!).

    • +5

Just make sure you don't see the P8 next to the P9 when you are about to pull the trigger on it :P

    • Think the best on the 65p8 so far is about 1700. Do you reckon it is $400 better?

  • Can anyone confirm if you will also receive the $100 Harvey Norman gift card currently on offer for purchasing a 65P7 on top of the $1 upgrade?

    • i reckon the gift card offers will end at midnight when the deal kicks in

Link is missing now. Although I did manage to snag one

      • Nice. Let us know how you go with it.

        • Picked up at jb's distribution centre. Very surprised at speaker performance

          • @dvsx: What’s the image quality like and gaming experience?

            • +1

@cnut: Decent at first but great after some tweaks. There was some noticeable ghosting while spinning the camera real fast in red dead redemption however seemed to be less noticeable when game mode is turned on.

              • @dvsx: Awesome. Much dirty screen effect?

  • Anyone know if the 65p7 supports variable refresh rate for consoles such as Xbox One X. Trying to decide between 65P7 and the Samsung NU8000 55" which is going for $1349

  • Does anyone know the width your stand will need to be for this TV?
Can the feet be moved like some older Samsungs?

    • I have the 55 P7 and the legs go just about the width of the tv, and are not adjustable.

    • The 65" P6 has the option to place the feet more central and reduce its footprint, the smaller models do not… so oddly a 65" fits my TV stand but the smaller TVs would not. Im assuming the P7 has the same setup as the P6… but you should probably check.

      • +1

I recently bought the 65P7 and I am pretty sure the feet are fixed into one position only.

        • Just had a look at the manual and it seems you are right there, 65P6 that I got can be changed and the 65P7 can't.

  • Codes are not working online for me

    • Add the upgrade TV to your cart and use the promo code for noted for the smaller TV. (E.G: Add the 55" P7 and use code UP50P7 and it will drop the price from $1295 to $996).

      • thanks working now

        • No worries, had me stumped for a little while too.

  • Ends 12 Nov 1159pm

  • Online says a Bonus $100 Harvey Norman Gift Card on the 65" - https://www.harveynorman.com.au/hisense-65-inch-p7-4k-ultra-…

    Beats the JB price match.

  • +1

All the Adelaide stores are showing out of stock for the 65 P7 pick up. They want $199 for delivery. Pff. No thanks.

I'll wait for the Black Friday deals.

    • Wt… I checked last night delivery was only $22.

      • $22 for 55"
65" is $59 in Sydney metro

      • Ah, OK. After I entered the promo code delivery came down to $59. It was before the code it came up as $199 for delivery.

  • Can confirm $100 gift card included at Harvey picked one up this morning. 65P7

  • Can confirm $100 gift card included at Harvey picked one up this morning. 65P7

    • what the …
I regret coming to TGG for a price beat on 65P7! $1295 with no gift card!
I remembers the negative comments from other members about HN so I came to TGG Taylors Lake, as JB HiFi there ran out of stock.

      • Don’t stress. Two stores refused the gift card too. So likely you wouldn’t get it.

  • 100% would not give the voucher as well. $55 delivery. Chirnside Park vic. Kids got a balloon as well

    • Can't understand how they don't honour it, I've ordered for pick up and if there's any dramas will show the receipt where it is clearly stated

      • All good they’ve included it

        • Could you please pm a copy of the receipt showing it?

    • +1

The balloon sealed it. Didn't it?

    • Neither. But he did another $30 or so off when I asked.

  • You have to add the 65”p7 then use the code UP55P7

The receipt clearly states the $100 gift card.

I suppose they could refuse the sale as not removing the gift card was a mistake?

  • I bought a 65p6 from the other deal and it has 2 bright clusters like when netflix box pops up bottom rhs and top lhs of the box.

I think it might be black light bleed, I havnt had a close up look yet.

Last tv i purchased was 7 years ago so i dunno Is this pretty normal of what to expect?

    • Normal(ish) from cheap TVs. Less likely in high end up I’ve seen it happen too.

It’s luck of the draw unfortunately. Swap it out if it’s really bad.

  • Picked one up this morning from HN Albury NSW. Staff didn't know about the deal and checked the website to confirm. Also received a $100 gift card.

  • Would the box fit in a 7 seater?

    • If you are talking about the 65P7 then the box fits perfectly in most 7 seaters but you need to fold the rear seats down though.
