Staggering $1699 for the next tier up 256ssd. Charge $425 extra for a mere 128gb storage upgrade is not okay in 2018 Microsoft.

im in the same boat. even though this is not as good value, am leaning towards this as build quality is probably better on the surface than the dell (from what I've read).
is it better to buy from microsoft directly, or through someone like JB for warranty purposes?
JB Hifi just price matched this for me so i dont have to wait or go into Sydney CBD. The base model i5, 8GB Surface Laptop 2 is a great deal, we purchase them for work.
I agree the jump for the extra storage is high but its not a gaming spec machine so portable harddrive with bitlocker should solve most your problems!
