I was browsing the Sony Store to see what other items the TA code applies to. Surprisingly it applies to this. Cheapest for local stock.
There may be other items which you can use the code on so go treasure hunt. Tried on the RX100 VA with no success :(

      CD is the "Discman" … this is a Walkman … so must be a cassette tape!

        Good argument. But consider that when you buy newly launched gadgets, batteries come with full shelf life and less prone to hassle you with rapid degradation. And you are buying from Sony website proper, so should see no dents in product support should anything go wrong.

    Does this have micro USB/USB C connection??
    last android walkman i bought had a proprietary cable, i hate to carry a separate cable when i am trying to get all device with USB-C.

        The battery will last you more than a couple of days so don't see the need to carry it around.

    Did anyone mange to place an order? Got an email late last night saying my order couldn't be fulfilled. Called this morning and Sony is suggesting that its a system Glitch or maybe my browser isn't compatible with the Sony Store. Anyone have this issue?
