Panasonic 5 Blade ESLV65 Electric Shaver $189 Delivered @ Shaver Shop (RRP $499)

170
SHAVE10

Was looking for a shaver and came across this.

I don't believe the standard inflated RRP but recent ozbargain post showed people importing American stock of this shaver for around 170 AUD, so this is very close for only a few bucks more for local stock.

Use code shave10 to get $10 off, and cash rewards also takes off a further $6. Free delivery also!

Hope this helps someone!

$180 on Ebay using PFRENZY includes free postage
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Panasonic-5-Blade-ESLV65-Eleā€¦

    • this works out to $183 including cashrewards. better getting from bricks and mortar retailer for instore warranty

  • Keen to hear people's opinions on this versus the 3 blade for 1/3 the price, if anyone has had both of them.

    • I've been using Panasonic linear shavers since the mid 90s and 3 blade are fine (for my skin/stubble).

New blade/foil is more important than the number of them.

Pre the import GST changes I generally replaced the whole unit when they went down to $62 US on Amazon but cannot do that now…

As someone who used both 4 blade and 3 blade variants of Panasonic I can easily say that they are like night and day. It is not only the count of blades but the more powerful motor and features such as the flexible head that make the difference. I have yet to try the 5 blade but I am guessing that the same principle applies.

      • Agreed regarding the motor power. You need to make sure the model has the proper linear drive.

For example the ES-LT41-K does but the ES-RT51-S does not.

Panasonic have conventional motor versions available with 2, 3 or 4 blades so you cannot simply say the 4 blade versions are the go.

    • I have a 5 blade and its bloody fantastic. Never used a three blade, but i did have a phillips and a braun in the past. I was starting to think that my skin was the problem because shavers always irritated my skin and left me with a shaver rash. That was until i got the 5 blade. Best shave, very close, and no shaver rash. I highly recommend.

  • Bought one of these a few months back from Shaver Shop on Ebay- it shipped from the closest local store, so I can't see why there'd be any issues with warranty.

The shaver has been excellent so far, works much better than my previous Philips shaver.

    • Hey mate. Same thing happened with me. Bought online and shipped from my local store.
Was just pointing out the eBay link above was not through shaver shop eBay store but a 3rd party.

  • Shaver arrived within 1 day of ordering. Very impressed with the unit. I gave it a quick shave and it's so much better then my old Braun 360 from 10 years ago. Very happy with it.

  • Looks ace. I'm nearly buying it but just wondering what the cost involved with replacing the cartridge is

    • They are very expensive - however, you don't need to replace them very often.

  • I'm using this. I bought it for $250 a few weeks ago from their ebay site.

It's the closest shave you're going to get with an electric shaver.

Battery life is pretty good. An hour charge fills the battery and you will get a few weeks of use out of it.

Don't know about consumable costs though. Haven't bought replacement heads yet.
