  • 60hz gaming monitor….looks like we can call any monitor gaming monitor.

    • Yep, anything to get a sale

  • If you are a PC gamer then don't waste your money on this. 120hz should be the minimum to be able to call it a gaming monitor.

  • Anyone have this ? I've heard text is bad on these panels. Is that true ?

    • +1

Don't have this specific monitor, but the 1080p 144hz version. It suffers a little from text inversion which I presume would be less noticeable on the 1440p. Bit annoying, but you do get use to it.

Still, wouldn't recommend to be doing hours and hours of writing/coding/reading on it… games are fine.

QLED+VA gives good contrast with colours that "pop" unlike a standard VA.

      • Thanks!, pulled the trigger anyway due to the good price (not a gamer). If the colours are vibrant, that's good enough for me.
I'll just keep text large and hinting set to blurry and see how it goes.

    • +1

I bought the 27" version of this monitor and while I can't speak for the 32", it's really bad on the 27".

      • ah bugger :-/

        • just got it delivered. you're spot on . text looks awful no matter how this thing is calibrated.
definitely a movie monitor, not for work :-.

          • +1

@ndftz: I've spent probably a day trying to get text looking better, only thing that helps is lowering the sharpness from default of 60 to 48.

            • @AreYouAWiiizard: I've lowered it to 0 and it's acceptable. Lots of colour profile tweaking on the MacBook+Mibook sides too. It'll do for $473. I can finally take my glasses off and use a monitor

  • despite being a "QLED VA", would I be better off with my old FHD Viewsonic IPS screen? mainly for surfing/youtube and rare gaming sessions?

  • I have no idea why you'd get this over the cheaper and much better gaming monitor, AOC Q3279 monitor.

IPS, 75hz, no annoying curve, $300 bucks!

    • good question. I guess for my money this might look better on the desk at the beachy coworking space I use, the curve gives a smidge more privacy, color profile is vivid instead of accurate/flat, and i don't game…

      • Err why do I have an associated badge on my name ?

I work for a software company. Not this eBay store or Samsung
