With use of a VPN you can create a Amazon Indian account and then signup for your Audible account,With Amazon India you can add your Australian Bank Card/Credit card and Australian Billing address and still access Audible service.

Audible India can be subscribed for just Rs 199 per month($4-$4.5 Varied due to exchange rates)
Audible Australia offers one membership option for $16.45 per month

Hope this helps someone who uses this service.

Personally i just logged in and activated 1 month Free service to test it before deciding whether to continue or not.

  Edit : looks like they launched it yesterday , free trial and subscription - here I come
  Edit 2 : quick check and could not see a lot of books I'm interested in, maybe they'll get added later

  Have anyone seen amazon prime subscription india, its like $20 a year and includes all thats available in Australia plus Amazon prime music (unlimited hours)

    But you can't use any of those prime features in Australia except for Prime Video. So no use of subscribing to it. Also, looks like they restrict the cards issued in Australia.

  Can we use credit/debit cards from Australia for this? I dont think Amazon India accepts international cards for subscribing into Prime/Audible/Kindle.
