The best deal I can find atm on the 15 inch Macbook Pro 2018 edition.

So I brought it from Officeworks as they matched it and saved the 5%. Total came to $3385

  • 2.9 GB Quad Core i7? it must be the last generation of mackbook pro.

    • Whoops I updated with the wrong one, have put the new model in now.

      • The website says:[MPTV2X/A] Apple MacBook Pro 15-inch with Touch Bar - 2.9GHz Quad Core i7, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD - Silver

So it is the new model with 6 core i7? or previous generation i7

        • Link updated, it's the 6 core 8th gen i7. MR972X/A

          • @doweyy: I see. So about 500 dollar off the RRP.

Au stock with 2 years local warranty?

  • Megabuy on rampage to recover it reputation ?
Or to lure more unlucky customers?

  • Just a quick note for those who might be interested, Apple is upgrading MacBook Pro with Vega graphic cards soon (late November).
(Personall I’m done with Apple and transitioning to windows, and you should to :)
    Just my 2 cent

It's available now at Apple Australia website and will be delivered late November :)

      • Yes you are right! I did check before posting but didn’t go to the optional upgrades. For just a mere $400 you get a Vega 16 and $560 for Vega 20.

    • Correction to my smart ass statement, “transition away from Apple, and you should too :)”

    • Well they are offering paid upgrades to these, def worth the money for a lot of people at least to the Vega 16 but it doesn't look like it's going to be standard any time soon.

  • This company has a terrible reputation for misleading advertising and some of the worst customer service around.

For anyone who doesn't know about megabuy yet, checkout feedback from their customers before you consider placing an order. A couple of links to get you started.

    Major issues with this seller.

Some members noticed a sudden rush of 5 star reviews on Product Review for the company and are sceptical of the authenticity. I'm also surprised to see two first time posters submitting deals for megabuy hours apart. Make of that what you will.

    • They are a low overhead drop shipping company with cheap prices to match.
Ive used them many times without issue, I simply expect a little longer for replies and that maybe their stock numbers might not be as reliable as some other sites, you get what you pay for.
Sometimes that might mean they can't get stock of something that was listed, if I chose to try and get that from them cause it was way cheaper than somewhere else and it didn't work out, so be it, I'd move on…
For some people are happy to pay for Harvey Norman level of service, for others they pay for PCCG, others are more than happy for a company to add 1% to Ingram Micro's prices and deal with everything themselves for that item they don't need urgently or need any support on.

If I needed a MacBook I'd buy this and then deal with Apple direct if I had any problems, better than a Gray import…

This seems like a good computer to browse the internet on and write emails.

    • Right?!

I have a 2014 mbp 15" retina optioned up with 16GB of RAM, potentially damaged during a recent OS trip.
I wa looking at this new models, and I couldn't believe the prices, they start at 3.5K!

I thought they's be dropping in price to be more competitive, mine costed about 2.5K (https://www.apple.com/au/newsroom/2014/07/29Apple-Updates-Ma…).

I think second hand for my next one, Apple are Cray, Cray CRAZY!
