  • Not historical cheapest but okay maybe

  • Yeah decent deal, but I personally didn't like using it. The tiny thumb buttons were a pain to use, and the hyperscroll function broke within a month (a common fault).

    • This was my experience too… aside from the wheel. In my case, the wheel button was really hard to press.

Which mouse have you guys chosen to replace this with? I was ready to pull the trigger until I saw these 2 comments. I like the design, I have a big hand but I don't like the idea of these quality issues that reviews never picked up on.

        • +2

i dont have these anecdotal issues

        • I'm in the exact same boat as you Click_it. I was actually actively looking for 2S deals today and came across this.

          • @activ8newbs: I think I'm going to get one anyway. Here or Amazon whichever is cheapest. Amazon is 99 free shipping with prime. I don't have ebay plus.

          • @activ8newbs: I forgot CashRewards 8% on Amazon AU. So if you have prime it works out to be $91.22 delivered. Better price than this assuming you have Amazon Prime and don't have Ebay Plus.

Great that there are other mouses out there. This has been the most comfortable mouse I have ever purchased. Going on 2 years now. Our office also bought them, and none of them have failed with daily work hour use for almost 1.5 years.

    Great price. Excellent mouse.

    Good first Post OP.. Cheers!!

(Looks at the tiny forward/back keys)
What is this… buttons for ants?!

    • +4

It actually works really well as I rock my thumb to press the buttons.

      • How long have you owned this mouse? 2 guys above said things went wrong early on. I'd like to know what your experience has been as reviews are generally glowing but they are also new mice not 3 or 6 months in.

        • I have been using the MX master 1 for over 2 years now with no scroll wheel issues even though many people complain of the problem. Maybe I am lucky :) Have used it daily during this time.
I personally like the forward and back buttons on the thumb. So if you are ok with the button layout, go for it !

          • @bogzy: Can't say I have any issues with the side buttons either.

Hows the battery on your v1? Had mine over 3 years now, battery life down to about a week now.

            • @bamzero: Used to be like 3 or 4 weeks but has gone down to around 2 lately. I have started pluging it in on friday evening when I leave work to avoid any mid week surprises :)
Have to say, this is the most comfortable mouse I have used and am completely satisfied for the ~ 80$ I paid !

        • Mine's the first version (MX Master) and I've owned it since November 2017.

Mine holds up fine, the only annoying things are; the software required to customise the button, which doesn't help when you're always moving PCs; and the other is the battery life in that I charge it every 2.5 weeks. Then again, I use the mouse for 40 hours per week in the office.

    • Suitable for ant-man.

    • "Mermouse cough cough cough….mermouse!!"

Great mouse. I have two. Don't buy the white one, the thumb area gets yellowish after a few months. Yes my hands are clean!
It's just oils that discolour the mouse, and makes it look ordinary.
The dark one I have is much better (the Surface Precision Mouse also suffers from the same problem)

    • +1

I liked it better with MX950 when they had a coating of gloss over it. It prevented the plastics from wearing away the texture into a smooth surface like what happens to the most used keys on your keyboard.

  • +2

Great mouse, have had for probably 6 months as my daily driver, 8 hours a day at work. No issues at all so far.

  • How long is the battery life in real world use? How many days b/w charges? And do you turn the mouse off every time via the switch or leave it on?

    • +1

For the original model, about 15 days between charges (8 hours per day) with the mouse on at all times, as I don't bother to touch the on/off switch.

Since the 2S has better battery life, expect something higher than that.

      • I have the original. I think it claims 40 days. I don't get anywhere near that. I get about 2 weeks like you.

2S claims 70 days life. So real world use, I would estimate about 25 days?

  • I was deciding between this and the I rapoo mt750 for $35. And got the mt750, I'm very happy with the China rip off so far.

    • Where did you get yours from?

      • Joybuy.com

    • Hows the battery life? I'm guessing it's just missing the Smartshift feature?

BTW, if anyones interested looks like can still get one from Joybuy for about $35.

      • I haven't had to charge it in the two weeks I've had it. The only problem is the side click and scroll don't work on Bluetooth but do work on USB. Not a big deal for me.

  • Out of stock before I could grab one :(
