Working at Target Miranda NSW I Can confirm we have sold out, we only got 20 (5 of 4 different types) I think this was the case with all the other stores too.
I'll check stock availably tomorrow and let you guys know for other stores
Update: Sold out all Sydney Metro stores, but some people are returning them and buying it cheaper elsewhere. We had someone refund a 64gb wifi ipad 1 if anyone is still interested. I think it's around $800-$900
Nice price, but might be better to wait for iPad 3 anyway.

Target will have 15% off Apple products in a promo in a few months
and it will have an *excludes ipad-2 models
I preordered one at Target, Glen Waverley VIC today.
They said that they would get some stocks in 2 weeks time.
60 people on the waiting list.
I'm happy to get mine in a month when I get paid for working over the easter holiday.
I can wait a month.
