The staff at my local ask "Are you <name on receipt>?". I could have claimed plenty of orders that weren't mine just by saying yes…

I have been asked but I just told them the number on the phone to claim it instead
They have likely had people claiming they haven't received their order and to prevent this in future they just ask for I.D. to confirm the correct person is collecting. I've never been asked personally though.
This has been a long-running policy however recently we have started enforcing it. If you have a photo of your ID on your phone or something, that will be fine

Today is $2 Big Mac, my favourite. But the chips are better at kfc.yep maccas fries suck, i only ever get them for free from the survey but half the time they're nearly cold!

Went into KFC today to place an order for this and a meal and what do you know the payment processing kept failing. Spoke to staff in store and asked if they can manually put through the $2 chips and they said no.
I have now put a complaint through the KFC website, extremely unhappy about this.
Checkout person probably didnt know how to run the app, or enter the code manually, they are usually pretty good accommodating my app deals (st clair anyway) on every KFC receipt you can put feedback on every specific transaction, so if did order something, put it on. (or grab somebodys left over reciept and put in the notes it was around this time)

App allows for payment via app or payment in store with cash or card… not sure why you didn’t order again and select pay in store ? Did it show charges on your card???
I didn't even get that far where it asked me how I want to pay for it. It was stuck on "Calculating costs for the order" or something.
I tried 3 times and it just kept timing out and giving me an error.
I then went 2 stores down and ordered using the maccas app and that went through fine.
The maccas app is very good at charging… so much that it loves to do it multiple times for the same order, even days after you've collected it.
You need to control your emotions. If you're triggered by not getting KFC chips (which are a health risk) then you're in for a rough time in life.
They can, there is a section on the register for KFC App Offers specifically for people that have the app but cannot use it for some reason

On my till its in the bottom left on the main screen called "KFC APP OFFERS". Requires the supervisor login

For me it kind of defeats the purpose of having an app and paying online. Don’t carry a wallet anymore.
