Used LP in the past and now use 1Password. In my opinion it's better from the UI/UX perspective. However, if you like LP, I wouldn't say it's a must to switch. I left LP because they got acquired by LogMeIn and I didn't feel comfortable with that (LogMeIn didn't have a good record for security).

Wanna find out for yourself? 😉 I've been doing (email-based) customer support about 18 months (but personally been a 1Password user long before that) – the product is best-in-class, the people care about 1Password and one another, the flexibility (time- and location-wise) is great, the timezone difference… can make it a little lonely at times, but the customers are almost without exception lovely to deal with. Happy to DM if you wanna know any more!

I've been on the fence about upgrading from 1Password 4 to 7 on Windows but the lack of transparency around the purchase process/price and the approach requiring you to uninstall 4, install 7, and then it'll tell you the price… makes me a bit reluctant.
Hey @jace88, I have to cop to being more a Mac than Windows man, but you shouldn't have to uninstall 1Password 4 on your PC in order to give 1Password 7 a shot – we recommend doing so after you're up and running with 1Password 7 to prevent any potential conflicts. See our upgrade guide for more!
As for pricing, I don't deny it's a little hard to know ahead of time what a license will cost – both 1Password 7 for Mac and 1Password 7 for Windows are US$64.99 (ex. tax), but both are still available at their launch special pricing of US$49.99 (again, ex. tax) for the time being.
