Used to be a huge fan but I feel quality of their products (in terms of fit and finish) is definitely slipping nowadays… My Alienware 15R3 had the best skin, but surprisingly things like my iPad Pro, Macbook 12", etc. have not fit so well. Admittedly there is some curve in the device but it just didn't feel robust. That combined with the headaches of Australia Post folding the envelopes despite huge "DO NOT BEND" markings and ruining the skins means I can't be bothered to order these anymore.

    • Understandable. I actually have never purchased from them before but thought I'd try them out and so I had been waiting for a Black Friday sale. Going to try a skin for my XPS 13 and pick one up for my partners MacBook. Will be interested to see how they go.

FWIW the customer service is excellent and they are happy to remedy it if you get a damaged skin or aren't happy with the fit… but it definitely isn't as perfect as the videos/photos may lead you to believe. It's better than anything else I've seen (have tried non dbrand before when I couldn't find one for my specific laptop before). Like I said, I've bought a lot of skins from them over the years (multiple iPads + Pro, Macbook, Alienware laptop x2, Surface Pro, etc)… the best were probably the larger/square ish objects like the Surface Pro and Alienware. The worst was the really curved items like the Apple Pencil which deteriorated. Also heads up that some tight cases will rub against the skin and cause it to come off eg my iPad Pro won't fit in all cases now without the skin lifting; and the Pencil won't fit in my case's pencil holder! Macbook 12" was alright but my wife's has started to peel a bit on the curved edge.

    • I have the Grip bumper case that was crowdfunded which was also heavily hyped on the internet a few months back. Can't say I was happy when I got to use it for a few weeks.

      • Ah I did see that and didn't pick one up myself. How much was the case and why was it disappointing?

        • I mean, don't get me wrong, the Grip is indeed grippy. But after a few weeks of use, I think less than 2 months, the rubber was already falling apart.

Mine didn't break but if you take a look at the Indiegogo campaign comments now, it's just full of complaints. Mine is still okay, but I'm very fuzzy with regards to my phone.

  • is the skin better than bestskinsever? hmm tempting.

    • They definitely seem much better quality on appearance alone. I just placed an order of about $85 USD myself.

  • Has anyone used the PS4 pro skins?
