I got it mainly for the fluffy (soft roller head) that's included in the absolute… and would be an additional purchase for the V7
(as well as being a slightly better model that the V7)

Great deal, and I spent ages deciding between the V8 and V10, but ended up using the PYIPPEE code to get the V10 absolute for $798 delivered.

Just a note, that motorhead version has a smaller dust bin and the carpet brush head is the same one as on the V8.
Not that that ruins it, it probably performs 90% as good and just need to empty the bin twice as much.
Also that version is not sold in Aus, so might be worth checking with Dyson whether they will support warranty for it.
Just search ebay, whichever one is cheapest put in code PYIPPEE which is a site-wide code.

Got one, the mother in law has a V8 and finds it more than adequate for a small home. Couldn't justify the extra for the V10. Thanks OP! Combined with the 5% off gift cards for a ripper saving. Not going to look at any other Dyson Black Friday deals in case something comes along that's better though :)

Yes i got this one. You can even send used one back to dyson within 30 days of purchase and you dont even pay postage.
My order was cancelled and refunded. I was informed that the fulfilment service did not have stock.

Totally bull shit. I made my order, and now it gets cancelled and refunded. I made my purchase on 22 Nov at 7:20pm (Sydney time), basically 2 hours after this ad goes live on ozbargain. Did anyone purchase theirs AFTER 22 Nov 7:20pm (Sydney time) and receive confirmation of shipping/postage/delivery?
This is the message they sent me. I actually find it offensive that they don't prioritise online orders. It discriminates against peeps living in rural areas. Not fair.

I've complained and demanded an explanation but no response. This is ludicrous.
I just checked the stock levels online and at least 17 stores in Sydney have it listed “in stock”

I called them up and asked to change from delivery to collect at nearest store with stock. I got notice same day that it was ready to collect and all good.
Curious if people think it's worth the $200 more over the V7…?
