  • So what actual retail stores in Brisbane would this offer be applicable to? Any stores that sell JAG, Colorado or Diana Ferrari products?

  • I assume they mean their own branded stores.

  • Are Colorado shoes any good in terms of durability and comfort?

    • Bought a pair of Colorado sandals and in only a few months, the thin lining on the insole ("comfort" something-or-other) had worn right though. Very disappointed.

My other 'dress' shoes from Colorado have been perfect, though. I've had a pair since maybe 2003 that I've worn several times a week since and it's still perfect. Unfortunately they don't make the same type though anymore..I've tried asking.

  • I've got 2. The comfort isn't bad.
I'd also say they've pretty durable overall, but the shoelaces on one of them has smaller and it's iimpossie to find a replacement, even from Colorado themselves, so it's just collecting dust now. Can't even find suitable ones online.

  • I have a pair of black Colorado dress shoes which I bought at the end of year 12 (2002). I hardly wore them during my four years at uni, however I have worn them to work almost every day for the last five years and they are still in great condition. The soles have worn a fair bit on the back on the heel but the stitching is all intact, a good polish and they come up real nice ;) Only criticism is that they are very bulky and in summer months they can feel very heavy at the end of a work day.

  • Colorado / JAG are going bankrupt from the looks of things http://www.smh.com.au/business/colorado-goes-under-as-debt-p…

    • I think only Colorado but not Jag

Colorado is the second private-equity owned retailer to collapse in Australia in as many months, after bookstore owner REDgroup Retail owned by Pacific Equity Partners was placed under administration.
Last week, BusinessDay reported that retail heavyweight Solomon Lew was expected to swoop on two of Australia's oldest fashion brands, JAG and Diana Ferrari - believed to be the only profitable segments of the Colorado Group.

  • Just received an email update from Colorado CEO.
Colorado treat their customers better than Border as they will honour all gift vouchers & lay-bys!

Colorado Group update from Kevin Roberts - CEO
You have probably heard that Colorado Group has been placed in Administration and Receivership, and you may be wondering how this affects you.
First, it is important to understand that it is ‘business as usual’ while the Receivers examine options for the future of the Group.
Second, all gift vouchers and lay-bys will be honoured.
Third, I am pleased to confirm that the Receivers have committed to protect employee entitlements for all staff.
So what lies ahead? JAG, diana ferrari, Mathers and Williams are all profitable businesses with bright futures. While the Colorado brand has been struggling in recent times, it is well recognised in the market and the Receivers have indicated their intent to seek a buyer for all the brands over the next few months.
Thank you for your continued support of our brands and our employees.
    Kevin Roberts
    CEO
    Colorado Group
