Studios are over-ear while these are on-ear. Personally I prefer over-ear but the price is higher.
The Studios are much better in terms of sound quality (over ear instead of on ear, noise cancellation), but for a 16 year old I don't think it'll be that important. Plus, these will be more appealing design wise as the Studios are a bit bulky.

Wonder if this price will be the 'norm' at OW now. No mention of a 'sale' on their website like HN does.
I doubt it, I reckon they are just price matching Harvey Norman to avoid having to price beat. OW was listing them for $349 yesterday which is already lower than a lot of other retailers which usually sells them at RRP of $400. This price reduction is probably just a reaction to all the Black Friday sales out there.
Aldi was selling them for $199 on Wednesday as a special buy (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/416097) and quite a number of people were having difficulties in getting OW to price match (just two days ago) so I seriously doubt this will be the new normal price.

I think you got mixed up between solo and studio. Solo3 is around 299 everywhere few days ago.
You could be right about $299 as I haven't been keeping an eye on the prices recently but I should also clarify that I have been looking mainly at brick and mortar stores where they are more expensive than online only retailers.
@CyberMurning: Perhaps $299 is their sales price in anticipation to Black Friday? JB surely wouldn't be doing $299 in the last few days if their Black Friday price is $329? Anyway as I've said, I haven't been keeping an close eye on all the prices since I wasn't in the market for one. Regardless, $197 is a good price for those looking to get one.
