I'm in the market for a CPU for a NAS and been keeping an eye on the Ryzen 3 2200G. Bit of an overkill but quite good for a NAS.
Cheapest Price I've come across for a while and definitely worth the post. Part of the black friday sale and there so many other deals on the Umart website

Unless you have already got an AMD motherboard, Intel Pentium G5400 $99 is a better choice IMO.

Is there a chance that NAS will start hosting a swag of docker containers for sonarr, radarr, NZBGet, plex, zoneminder, nextcloud, duplicati, homeassistant, airsonic and maybe a VM? Because you might end up wanting more than 4 cores before too long.
TBH, I'm still bit of a newbie when it comes to NAS. For now, just need a decent quad core for Kodi, plex and perhaps 4k transcoding and torrent downloading

A NAS is a Network Access Server, usually with a basic operating system for setup. That’s why the specs required are usually quite low.
Actually it stands for Network Attached Storage, but nice try :)
