ADATA out of stock. Done deal! 2TB drive that is.

    • 100 units gone! Wow!

  • +1

    Thoughts on that PC?

    • +1

      Hey JuliusSeizure,

Personally think it's great if you're after a smaller form Gaming/Media machine. Has very decent specs:

      i7-7700K, Win 10 Home, GTX1080TI 8GB, 16GB DDR4, 480GB NVME SSD + 2TB 2.5" HDD.

      Hope this helps!

      • Thanks. What's upgradeable?

        • +1

You'll want to do your own research on this (ahem) on sites like ifixit - basically parts are up gradable but actually accessing them takes a lot of finesse due to the size/design.

    • +2

      Not worth it.

      • What price should it be to make it worthwhile?

        • I wouldn't even bother with an i7-7700k these days. Everything else is solid to great, but I'd want a 2700/2700X or a i7-8700k if I'm outlaying that much money.

With RTX cards available and dropping in price, it might be worth constructing your own custom build with some off-the-shelf watercooling solutions that have some quieter fans, ditto for the PSU.

    • I think that PC is a great price for what it is, i recently spent over 3k on one thats marginally better.
Although monitor isn't specified, i still probably would have gone for this over my PC i built to save money.

  • OP, do you have a full spec list for the PC?

    • +2

      Hey Rexrac,

      Sure do. i7-7700K, Win 10 Home, GTX1080TI 8GB, 16GB DDR4, 480GB NVME SSD + 2TB 2.5" HDD.

      See full list below:

      Case Corsair ONE Compact Case
      IO Ports 1 x USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-C | 3 x USB 3.1 Gen1 Type-A | 2 x USB 2.0 | PS/2 Port | HDMI | 2 x DisplayPort

  • i tried and i was able to buy before time.

  • Is there any deal on Gtx 1080/ Rtx 2070 ?

  • It seems like Tech Fast computer is better. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Intel-i7-8700-RTX-2080-8GB-240GB…

      • It is very good, the PSU might not be good enough. But if I was paying that much for a good rig, I would upgrade a few things, I would want a bit better CPU, Motherboard, SSD, and PSU. All the current parts would work fine, but with that build you might as well drop the 2080 for a 2070.

        • Hmmm think I'll do more research. Always been dived in with the Ozbargain mentality and asked questions later. Something so cost significant requires awareness.

    • +2

      Hi Wareboii,

Nice find, but I think subjective in which is better, and also how, IMO.

This is Corsair built, and SFF in size (you should see this thing - it's tiny for what's inside!).

Corsair Branded components throughout vs generic/OEM etc.

      • Corsair built would definitely be better, but not having an i7 8700 and rtx 2080 for the same price (27 inch 144hz monitor as well on the Tech Fast deal) means that it isn't instant buy.
It is a great deal, and it is worthwhile, but it isn't something that would make me refresh the page every 10 seconds to score an insane deal.
If this was $2000 then it would be an incredible deal and I would buy one even though I don't need it, or if it was same price but with RTX 2080 and i7 8700 instead.

      • +1

Yeah i think everyone is underestimating how small this thing is.

Size is a big deal for me now, it's so much neater and more 'le current year', the days of the behemoth tower taking up half your table while reciting to yourself 'lift with your legs-lift with your legs' while moving it is should be gone by now.

The 7700k is a great cpu, don't believe the haters, and the 1080ti still kicks teeth in. If i didn't have 7700k rig already myself i'd be all over this.

That techfast one is a pandoras box, you got the rocking cpu and gfx card-but who knows what else you'll get? A janky old psu from rinky dink industries, a toss it as soon as you get it keyboard and mouse combo, a b series mobo which negates the point of having a k series cpu in such a large case…nah no thanks.

        • Very valid points @Megafacehead.

Personally, I was the same RE: convenience and practicality of the form factor when I was building my living room media/light-gaming rig.

Currently rocking a 1080ti also - definitely kicks some serious butt. Arguably one of the best GPU's they ever made in recent history.

      • +1

Prior to this deal, I was humming and hawing over building my own pc. Sure, I could've put something together for about $1k less, but it would've been more generic components sacrificing power for price, not anywhere near as future proofed, and cannibalizing things like psu/case/drives from my previous computer. Not as worried about upgradeability either, given I've been eking out on a gtx 770/FX-6300 up until now rather than upgrading every year or two!

    • if you want cheap low quality components then yes it is

  • Brown Vs Blue Cherry Keys on the keyboard?
    Anyone got any reccomendations

From a quick google… Brown is quieter yeah?

    • +2

Blue is best for typing. Brown is a good balance between red and blue, where red is great for gaming. Brown is not clicky, so a lot quieter than blue. Only buy blue in a very quiet office, when you want to annoy people :)

Note sure if you have used a mechanical keyboard before, if not, they kind of teach you to type different. I type a lost softer, quicker and more accurate since getting one.

      • i have a corsair now but have no idea what coloour the keys are :(
i think they might be Red.. the model is no longer made (the new version only comes with Red Keys so assume maybe is the same)

        Edit the keys are Brown
Corsair Gaming K95 RGB, Black, Cherry MX Brown Switch

        • +1

I have the Corsair K95 Platinum with Red switches and I love it. I hate the noise the clicky ones make. I think you should be happy with brown, coming from red. They will feel a bit different being a tactile type.

          • @boondocksaint: yeah i worked out the corsair i have is Brown and i am quite happy (just need a second keyboard for "reasons") so got the brown one again

    • +1

      Hey jimbobaus,

Brown is definitely quiet, whilst still tactile in the series, with Blue being the opposite (quite loud). Though, an advantage (for most) is, Blue actuates when the key is halfway pressed down..

    • +1

Brown is quieter but Blue feels so much better to type on. As for gaming there's no real difference, some might argue red is better for FPS due to ever so faster actuation (it takes slightly less force to actuate the key… saving 0.001 miliseconds).

Blue if you want the full mechanical experience. I highly recommend, it really is joyful in every sense. But if you want it for an office or your bedroom while your wife is sleeping, its probably too loud.

    • Brown definitely (IMO). They still have a tactile bump, but they don't have the loud click that's associate with it. I find browns nicer to type on as well - and ended up getting rid of my blue keyboard to buy another brown one.

    • When building my PC I went into a local umart, they actually had a set up with mx brown, red, black, blue on a board to test which one u liked. Might want to call your local umart and see if they have the same

  • Is the keyboard free shipping?

    • Yeah it says free shipping then it says +shipping… so its confusing

      • It costs $7.95 to ship. Bought it anyway .

        • yeah i got keyboard and headphones.. only 12 bucks shipping which is pretty good imho :)

      • +1

Sorry guys, that was an accidental typo - was halfway through writing it came with the free HyperX mouse etc. Corrected now - thanks for spotting!

        • How about opening a Vic Store :P
I mean your vic competitors have openeed stores in NSW… and i could save on shipping :P

      Hope this helps!

  • If you are after MX Red. Cheaper than this deal and still available for delivery. HyperX Alloy Elite RGB Mechanical Keyboard: Cherry MX Red $129.50 + Shipping @ JB Hi-Fi.

  • These Hyperx Cloud Pros i assume is a Cloud II that is marketed for console players?

    • +1

      Hey KaTst3R,

      Basically, yes.

The main difference is, the Cloud II supports Virtual 7.1 on PC, and the HyperX Cloud Pro is a Stereo headset for console gamers/PC. Also, the Cloud II has a USB audio control box, whereas the Cloud Pro doesn't (being mainly for console gamers).

      Hope this helps.

  • There is no coupon code though? How are you supposed to jack prices?

  • +1

Bloody hourly deals… what a loada… is that 2pm in nannup? or rubyvale? or ceduna?

    Fair go ocka

  • Oh man… I thought 2 pm QLD time :(

Is it possible that the WD Green 480GB SSD M.2 will be in stock again today?
