Would this work good for a Nintendo Switch?

    • Yes, I bought one for that reason!

    • +1

Yep, the write speed is also surprisingly good which should help with install speed (legit or otherwise). It's class 10 / U1, so I was expecting 10MB/s write, but the sequential transfer speed is actually over 50MB/s https://www.gsmarena.com/sandisk_ultra_400gb_microsd_review-…

You get about "366GB" in windows iirc

Kinda strange that my U3 card is slower than this!

      • I doubt write speeds will change anything of note. Downloading my library onto one right now after upgrading from 200gb.

        • what speeds did you get?

  • -3

I can't help but thinking I'd rather spend more at Amazon…

And 30-40 days shipping is awful. I always avoid ordering from China, HK always seems much quicker, and often quicker than interstate.

    • $80 more?

      • -6

Wouldb't it alarm you that a Chinese retailer is selling something significantly less than Amazon?

There's enough fake PC parts from China for me to get alarmed.

        • this is ozbargain.
and again its not fake there is proof in other posts.
I would rather spend less and wait unless im in a rush than I would spend more

        • +4

Stop fear mongering. Joybuy & other asian stores have been posted on here for years, they sell legit products. If not they would've been banned on ozbargain by now.

I ordered a 256GB from them in a previous deal (11/11/18) and it arrived today, so a tad over two weeks delivery for me.

    • Ordered 15 november arrived last week, so like 10 days (wasnt around to collect it so cant say) others in the thread mention 7 days

  • Good price, but I have no use case for this. I have not a switch. My Android already have 200gb with plenty free space…

    Why do i want this?

    • +5

because it just will make you happy, deep down your soul was created for this sandisk

      • Its your ultimate purpose in life.

    • Put in your laptop for file backups. I use them for this.

  • +6

    omg 400gb - i still have some 4gb SD cards :s

    • +1

My 256MB cost $350 from USA back in the day, was a bargain as it was over $600 here.

      • 256GB you meant?

        • +1

There actually was a time when 256MB cards were $350… :)

        • No I meant MB.

    • I have some 4/8mb smart media and 2GB XD somewhere

      • Do you mean mmc (multimedia card)

  • He OP, A good find. Is there a 512gb on sale? Evo or sandisk.

    • -1

there is no 512gb only fakes.

      • +1

There are real 512GB out but they're very expensive. PNY make one retails for $350US, also Integral Memory have a 512GB. Samsung also have a 512GB that should be out, if not soon.

        • Oh. I dont trust PNY I heard bad things about them.

          • @Rukiata: What is wrong with PNY?

            • @Maverick-au: Not sure why I was downvoted but heard their ssds fail a lot

              • @Rukiata: That is not what you sadi. You blanketed the whole product range. PNY memory cards have a big following with pro photographers, and they demand reliability.

            • @Maverick-au: Their usb drives are awful. Had 2 bigger ones at the time and both failed very quickly.

          • @Rukiata: Where were you when you heard this warning?

  • Seems the code has expired. Worked fine five minutes ago but I had to go back to fix an address error and now it says code fully redeemed

    • weird? still working for me, can anyone else check?

      • Maybe because I aborted the first go, it thinks I already used it. Annoying. Maybe I'll make another account

      • Worked with a new account. When I backed out of the first go to fix my address it cleared my cart and must've registered as having used the code already. Lord knows if I'll get the order, they keep automatically adding a second incorrect post code to my address :p

        • +1

I had the same problem with a previous deal. It had created an unpaid order even though I didn't complete checkout, I had to cancel that order in the "my orders" section and the code was valid again.

  • +1

    Gosh this is tempting…

  • +4

    Didn't need it. Bought it.

  • Could this work in DJI drone mavic air?

    • +1

Could this work in DJI drone mavic air?

The question should be why? Unless you're powering your Mavic from an extension lead and keeping it up for days why would you need a card this size?

    • IIRC a Mavic Air spits out video at a rate that needs a higher write speed than this card can handle

  • bought for switch

    • Does it work for switch when it’s this big?

      • Switch takes 2tb

      • Yes, Switch supports up to 1TB micro sd cards

  • Tks OP, great upgrade for my ultrabook which is currently using a 200GB SD card as secondary storage.

  • Seriously tempted by this.my switch 200gb is over half full.

    • -3

      Pirated games?

      • +4

Did you mean Backed up cartridges games?

        and Homebrew emulators~

      • I'm full digital, I've got well over 100gb installed and that's from someone who only really buys exclusives as I have the other consoles too.

No inkling to ever pirate games on an active system.

      • Nope all digital downloads.

  • Will this work for GoPros?

    • curious aswell

      • Have read previously that GoPro recommends upto 256GB (source: https://gopro.com/help/articles/block/microSD-Card-Considera…). Assuming larger ones should work fine though?

      • +1

Actually some further research tells me the card is meant for slower devices - smartphones etc, and may not be fast enough for data transfer in the GoPro and may corrupt data on the card/drain battery. Open to hear from others though!

        • Read some comments about UHS-1 is a fast rating. But if you are wanting to capture 4k at 60fps or whatever, yeah you probably want to get a card as fast as you can to avoid any disappointment.

        • The extreme version is more suited for GoPro and 4k recording. Use of this card is commonly associated with SD card error.

  • +2

Tough this is a great price, but the 2x200GB for $65 was even better

  • +1

If i run this on my 512gb Note 9 i will have 912gb of storage in my pocket :)

    • Crazy stuff. In 2003 a 128 MB Compact Flash card was huge.

      • I remember buying my 128mb mp3 player and being blown away i could almost fit an entire album on it

  • Thanks OP - got one!!!

  • cant do it.. cant stand the thought of losing 400gb of pics and vids when it becomes corrupted or fails.

    • uh, you can back it up occasionally.

  • Thought about it but bought 2x200 gigs the other day for $66 delivered on newegg just needs a bit of swapping that's all.

  • Serious question. Who needs a 400gb microsd card with such capacities L? What devices are people using them in?

  • -2

    Saying code is invalid

    • +1

there is a report button so you can indicate that a code has expired.

  • I got 2 last time and they arrived in 7 days.

  • Mine arrived today, took about 2 weeks. Writing at 65MB/sec, which is pretty good.

    Not complaining for $95 delivered

    • Thanks for posting items I ordered before this deal and after it (Blak Friday) fron Joybuy have arrived but this hasn't. Still shows as in transit and you got yours today so there is hope.

  • I got mine about 2 weeks after ordering. Works great! A great deal for $95 delivered.

  • Mine arrived a couple of days ago - Yay!!

  • Anyone have a new code for this?

  • i got mine yesterday, tested it and confirmed genuine. using it now :)
