Cyber Monday deal. Emby (the alternative to Plex) is almost never offered on sale. Forum requests for discounts are pretty much slapped down by devs immediately.
I use Emby but not premiere as I already bought PlexPass a while back. Maybe good for those still on the fence.

Really? That sucks big time. Luckily the standard version does everything I need, unlike Plex where a subscription is needed for anything bar a very rudimentary setup.

There is no version update that stops Lifetime from being relevant.
What a classic thread
That's over two year old, you can clearly see the T&Cs no longer have any mention of what caused that thread to exists.
Interestingly, the thread was started 2 weeks before I purchased Premiere. It was USD $79.99 at the time.
I use emby (non subscribers), excellent back end for kodi, but come on, only $10 off. BTW life time subscription is life time of the current version only.
