  • no headphone jack.

    • 1080P in 2018.

        Great for battery life.

I have both the Note 9 and a OnePlus 6T. Note 9 gets around 4.5 hours SOT and the 6T gets around 7 hours with similar usage patterns!
Display wise the Note 9 has a certain crispness the OnePlus can't match, but at the same time the Note 9 display has a yellow tint so the screen on the 6T ends up looking better when browsing the web. It's not apparent in isolation, only visible when you compare them side by side.

I'm sure I'm in the minority, but pretty sure I wouldn't notice the difference on a screen that size. Would take battery life as a trade off any day

        • +3

Can confirm, barely tell the difference between 1080P and 1440P on my pixel 2xl

      Not needed with Bluetooth

  • Tried Kogan and DWI, both have stock issues -_- Be warned that you may be waiting a while for this.

    • I ordered from UK site Clove. They are also awaiting stock to arrive with no specific ETA.
First batches must have sold out fast around the world!

  • Which specific model number is this?

    Is that delivered price?

    Expected delivery duration?

    • The model is ONEPLUS 6T A6010, it have stock now

  • Don't forget the 10% gst because it's from Hong Kong

  • they are the Chinese variant too - A6010 - just asked via online chat

    • It's usually the same underlying hardware (at least with the previous ones, DYOR), just different software which they then flash to international.

      • +1

Bands vary from A6010 to A6013 - may be an issue for some, that's all.

        • Ah okay, didn't realise!

        • For some … Do you mean a very small number of people with a specific carrier in regional US?

  • Chinese ROM too - the online chat peeps have NFI

    • Flashing to OxygenOS takes 5 mins.

Too expensive for a budget phone.

    • +1

      OP6T is a a flagship phone…

      • they always place themselves as a BUDGET flagship manufacturer

        • The value of budget is subjective.

no ip68 waterproof,no headphone jack, no led indicator,no wireless charging,no duo speaker -> all these in exchange for a slow under-screen fingerprint sensor

    • Hmm some good points

    • I'm running a pixel 1 and was meant to upgrade to the 3. The 6T was my next option. This puts me off though.

      • Beautiful looking phone though… Counts for a lot these days with the damn notch.

    • +4

It is waterproof just not certified, virtually nothing had headphone jack, wireless charging is nice but plugging wire in for 30 mins a day isn't hard (among fastest charging phone available), FPS isn't really slow and latest update makes it faster.

      • Yea, I've went bluetooth earplugs on my old xperia z5 for a year now and have never went back - not sure why all the gripe is about headphone jacks. Bought a pair of bluetooth parrot zik cans few months ago and gotta say can't really see going back to being wired.

Code only brings the price to $797.49 AUD…

Just a word of warning this seller is pretty hopeless. Accepted payment and never sent the item. Didn't respond to any emails until I lodged a Paypal dispute, saying it's out of stock, even though the item is still on their website after all these weeks. Instead of refunding me straight away, they wanted me to buy something else and pay the difference. And now they want me to close the case before they refund me, even though the case would automatically close if they simply refund through paypal anyway. Extremely dodgy. This was my first and last experience with this seller.

    • The wife decided to jump on this deal - Phone arrived yesterday no issues. - Sorry you had such a bad experience.

      • Nice one. My issues were with another phone from a prev deal.
