Paradigm Cinema CT110 - Black HT Package - $1196 + free shipping Aus wide

20

I've been in the market for a Home Theater system for a while now and have done a lot of research on various different brands and models. In the end i decided to go against big chunky floor standing speakers and go with satellite set instead. Last night i came across this Paradigm set which is now special during April (20% off). Retail price for this set is between $1500 and $1600 or more, but with this special, it comes down to $1196 and free shipping anywhere in Australia. All the reviews I've read about this set is positive and mention that this set sounds much better than many floor standing speakers and comes from a company that apparently is one of the leading brands when it comes to sound quality and speakers durability and they look awesome IMO.
Apparently only a few other satellite HT sets are better than this one, but all of them cost close to $2000 or more.
Anyway, just though I'd share this as I'm sure there are people like myself who are in the market for a HT system.

Aren't these the white van scam speakers?

    • if you google Paradigm you'll find they're a Canadian speaker company.
They make very good speakers with some models costing more than $10k.
Needless to say they are a well regarded speaker company.

edit: and AudioTrends is a bricks & mortar store. I've bought from them before, no problems with their delivery (I'm on the Gold Coast, they're in Melbourne).

    • You can rest assured. These are far from white van speaker. Their top of the range signature series goes for 6k-7k or more.

      • Yeah but we got these cancelled orders in back ov van gov, yours for 2k right now.

    • No, you're thinking of Paradyme/DynaLab.

      • +1

Ok ta. Lol paradyme/paradigm, that's why it rang a mild alarm bell in me.

        All good then.

  • I was actually looking for a good quality HTiB system recently too.. and can't really go past Paradigm.

If you want, Eastwood HiFi are doing the Paradigm CT70 with a Yamaha HTR-6063 for $1298 which from what I could find was an awesome deal.

Also keep in mind, as far as I am aware this system does not come with any speaker cables, you will need to supply that yourself.

    • I believe all Paradigm speakers are on special during April, which would mean that CT70 would come down to $1000. I decided to go with CT110 because of better sound quality and I am getting them from Eastwood HiFi. That $1298 including HTR-6063 is an awesome deal. They quoted me $1900 for CT110 and HTR-6063, which means that in comparison to CT70 deal, my quote was a bit too high.
Thanks for the cables comment. I was not aware of that and will make sure I check that. It might however be included for me because I'm getting them to do the installation as well. Will check nevertheless.
