  • Apologies for my cluelessness but will I still get cashback if I buy through the Amazon.com.au website but from an Amazon US seller? Thanks!

    • +1

      Yes

    • As long as you do it through the amazon.com.au domain and not amazon.com, it should.

      • Hey TA,

If i order an item, it arrives and then delivery screws up and the item goes missing, and i ask Amazon to send a replacement, would i still be eligible for cashback at the time that i purchased the item (and not the replacement?)

        • -1

          Yes.

        • Hi Ruptur3. Please be wary of this:

You won’t earn Cashback if you cancel, change or return your order.

Amazon may cancel your lost item if they need to send a replacement, meaning they'll also decline your Cashback.

          • @tightarse: Oh,really? That's disappointing. Maybe i can ask Amazon to accept my cashback as well?

Forever doomed to make purchases hours before these announcements

Nothing to do with CR. We either have the terms on site, or we don't have Amazon. It's an Amazon requirement and applies to all Cashback sites.

      • I wasn't suggesting that it was a CR-initiated requirement.

    • +16

Just because you don't know the reason for, does not make it nonsensical.

      • Oh, I guessed the "reason", I just don't think that Amazon thought it through. The risk is that people will delete items and forget to add all of them back. Seems self-defeating. Who has items in their cart in anticipation of a CR increase? I'm guessing not many, and most of those that may have items in their cart probably forgot to click through CR first and would have to go through the whole finding and adding again.

    • +5

Cashrewards are strictly bound by the terms of the merchant (in this case, Amazon). Think about it, Amazon pays CR to bring customers to their site, so they set the rules. CR just has to follow those rules (and therefore us, the users).

      • Oh, Amazon can set whatever rules it wants. I can still consider any one of those rules unlikely to achieve what Amazon is wanting it to achieve.

Pretty much any referral scheme works on the basis that somebody who would not otherwise have made a purchase has been led to make a purchase by the referrer.

If the item was already in your cart, it's going to be kind of obvious that the referrer was probably not directly responsible for the purchase decision being made.

Make a 'wishlist' with the items you want ahead of time. Go into Cashrewards, add the 'wishlist' items quickly and efficiently, and buy. BOOM!

      • -5

on;y one transaction allowed at a time.

you still have to return back to Cashrewards and enter though their portal for each transaction.

not as quick and efficient boom as you think.

        • Boo! I guess the wishlist would still be helpful in that scenario, as you wouldn't have to search each time.

        • Much more efficient using the toolbar!

        • +4

One transaction doesn’t mean only one product at a time.

  • How long does the cashback take to hit your account?

    • +1

      "Notification: Up to 4 days"
"Estimated approval: Up to 75 days"

    • 3 months.. or more

      • It may not happen overnight, but it will happen.

    • Hate not knowing whether I did it correctly or not lol.

  • For some reason Cash rewards aren’t working on my IPad safari browser. Bought Nike products and didn’t receive any rewards :(

    • +1

It has to be a desktop browser. Forcing Chrome to render the page in desktop mode worked for me on my phone.

    • Probably due to adblockers in your browser. They can prevent the purchase from tracking properly. Try to use a different browser or use PC.

      • I have not tested the app. How does cashrewards work via the app it still runs off a browser doesn't it?

Cash rewards aren’t working on my IPad safari browser

Please go to Safari settings and turn off Cross-Site Tracking (mobile & desktop). It's a nightmare for affiliate networks.

      • What time did this officially start? I think i made a purchase at 4:01pm, trying to figure out if that got 10% or 8% cashback and whether I should cancel and reorder.

        • +1

Started 4PM AEDT, ends 11:59PM AEDT.

      • Turn off…as in turn the switch on for “prevent cross site marketing” or turn off the switch to allow cross site marketing…

    • I forgot to disable adblock when i bought Nikes also which screwed the tracking, a week after the clickthrough you will be able to submit a ticket to get it tracked.

    • Just use anything google related, they have no problem tracking your every move and sharing it for the rest of the world. Android phone, Chrome browser for iPad etc

At Google, privacy is SO overrated :)

  • Should I pull the trigger on the QC35 hmm….

    • +2

Why? $358.40 is pretty normal RRP

    • +1

      BIG NO

      • Cheers decided to hold back with the purchase

    • You should get the Sonys. They are OZB favourite.

      • Am planning to claim TRS during my trip in December. Not sure if it's gonna drop till that price again before that.

  • +2

    Need switch special!!

    • I’m in the same boat.

    • +1

Haha where have you been most days the last week.

    • +6

Entitled much? How about you contribute some deals? It's been well over a year!

        • +3

Next time line up with Amazon for some decent deals then I will use your service

You are not even the OP you got no rights to yell at others

        • -1

I'm with neonlight. He seems to be sensibly saving up his full stops for future purchases.

  • If I purchased last week, and the item has just shipped today, due to deliver Dec 11-17, the item drops price by $10, can I ring them for a price difference refund?
