I think MathNerd's and PJC's watch deals are better.

Mmmm. In my experience, watchnerd knows his stuff and does his research…before posting. Watches are a matter of taste, generally; it's subjective.

      I prefer chajjuau’s watch deals.

      • I still regret missing that one.

        • +1

It’s not too late. You can still arrange a meet up in their private office.

          • @tomsco: Then I would give them pure worries.

When I was a kid I was enormously proud my first watch could be heard ticking.

My first watch was a timex :)

Best thing about Amazon US shipping to aus is the watch posts again!

    • I just changed the deal to Amazon Aus as it's cheaper with prime haha.

  • +2

This is one of the most reasonably priced and robust watches. I've had one for more than 12 years.

Amazon.com.au may be cheaper for prime users with cashback at https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B01JO761J8 at 42.35 (you will need to spend over 49 dollars for free shipping with prime int), add .au at end of .com to see; sales also running on "today's deals".

    • Thanks, not sure why I didn't do that, edited the deal now.

Waiting for the mods to change the main link to Amazon Aus as I can't do it.

This is what I'm talking about.

MathNerd and PJC are far more thorough.

        • +7

I agree, I'm still learning so hopefully one day I will be up to their standard.

        • +1

          You're just nitpicking.

Did you really have to do the Tightarse hand sign?

Stop posting these god damn watch deals. For Christ’s sake. You know how many watches I have here in my house thanks to you three posting these god damn watch deals? I don’t even wear watches! They are pretty cool pieces of engineering. And I do love a nice watch. :)

Interesting note, when I did locksmith course at Ultimo, in Sydney, the watchmakers class was in the same section as locksmith. I went in there a few times during breaks to (forgive the pun) watch the guys stripping or reassemble watches. Amazing stuff.

  • What can I buy for $7 to save on the postage?

  • Thank you for this.
I really like the blue dial one, but unfortunately won’t ship here.

  • how do you get free shipping below $49 with prime? I get Items: $42.35 + Delivery: $8.07

    • Amazon are charging you $8.07 delivery even though you have joined Amazon Prime?

      • yes. free shipping from US is $49 and above. unless I get something from US to make it above $49 there is a delivery fee.

the watches are "Ships from and sold by Amazon US." and "FREE international delivery on Prime International orders over $49"

        • So are you saying my description is wrong? I can't test it as I don't have prime.

          • +1

@WatchNerd: the items are from US so there is a min spend of $49 for free shipping or you need to pay for delivery unless they're "Ships from and sold by Amazon AU"

    Awesome price!

  • Great looking watch.
But that review on Amazon is a turn off.
