Can get a local meta box 17in for that price. It has promotions throughout the year.

      Got a link at all?

    • Can you link?

Their official website is stating 1.3k as the cheapest model with only a 2gb 1050 in it.

Edit: Afforable laptops have it at $1.139 with only a 120gb harddrive and no OS + only 8gb of ram. So will need to put in another $150 for a hard drive and OS.

Will link later when promotions out. Those were a few hundreds less a few days ago when Black Friday cyber Monday.

  • Sale isn't too bad but i highly suggest to just pay the extra $100 for Australian Warranty.

Same laptop was on sale for $1400 like 2 weeks ago. Dell Ebay 20% off plus Cash REwards

    • Link?

If you are referring to this
They were i5 models, so no comparison

1799 minus 20% off = $1440 then another 0.7% for cash rewards it goes to about $1420-1430

Please also note that warranty from overseas with dell requires a form to be filled out to establish you have moved from the country hence the warranty needs to be required to be transferred. In addition, the EXACT same model has to be available in that country.

Plus could also use the gift cards if you wanted.

I'd be wary anyways, these dell sales go up all the time.

  • I have the older model of this (The 7567) and I'd honestly reccommend it over this. The higher core count will be almost useless if using it for gaming, as the 1050ti is easily fed by a 7700HQ. You'd be better off getting the 7700HQ/1060 version with the 74WH battery, as this only has a 56 and that will show when you need to use it for long periods on battery, especially with the more power hungry CPU.

Either way, this price is ok, not fantastic. Got my unit 6 months ago for around 1150 (with 16GB of ram, 256 ssd and 1tb hdd),however it was second hand (only about 3 months old and barely used.

If you just want this for video rendering or something else that will take advantage of the CPU, and you don't need the extra battery life, then this is a decent deal. Just be prepared to wait as it's shipping internationally, and customs may have a go at it (and try to charge you 10% GST)
