YES, that's the only one I have which has been sitting there for ages

        • Same here! I got 3 Amex, only showing the Hilton offer and nothing new showing up since months ago. Have to use manual link to save offer :(

    • same. It's been almost 2 mths now. Rang customer support but didnt work

  • +4

The HN offer gets less generous each year.

Only likely use for me this year will be if they price match a nice deal from somewhere else, then get an extra $50.

    • +2

Soon it will be spend $300 or more, pay $350 for the privilege

  • Sign up with Harvey Norman but don't know what to use with that. Do you guys have any suggestions?

    • +1

Something you want/need that is well priced at Harvey Norman or you can price match at Harvey Norman.
      Or Christmas presents.

  • Has anybody tried stacking HN deal with their 12 months interest free plan? Does it work? Thanks.

    • +1

It won't stack as you can't use your Amex with the 12 month interest free plan.
You have to use a specific type of credit card, either by signing up for it or using an existing one if you have one (Go Mastercard, CreditLine card, Buyers Edge etc)

      • Hmm… thanks for that. So they don’t even use VISA then?

        • I'm not sure.
It's basically a scheme where you sign up for a credit card, Harvey Norman gets a kick-back for it.
I used to get a gift card when I signed someone up for an interest free card at Dick Smith back in the day.

But if you happen to have one of the accepted cards already, you just walk in and pay using that, and you'll get the same deal.
I have a CreditLine card that has a $5 monthly fee if there is balance owing, otherwise it costs me nothing, so I keep it in the draw in case I want to use it at Apple or Harvey Norman or The Good Guys.

  • I have not received any offer from Amex in app or on website since Oct (however I can still save them to card using manual links).
Rang Amex last week and the guy told me he changed the settings and it should generate those offers for me within 24hrs. Yet no luck.
Has anyone had the same issue?

    • yes. read above

      • hmmm have you talked to customer support about that?

  • +4

Anyone who has never shopped at BoozeBud before can use the code 25BUD for $25 off and free shipping. Minimum spend is also $100 so you'd have to spend $125 so that you are still spending $100 for the AMEX deal.

  • +1

Doh. The deal in September for Harvey Norman was $50 cashback for $250 spend. This new one is $50 for $350.

    They're getting less generous.

  • If you have a supplementary card (wife) and youve registered the offer on both, could you say split the payment and get the rebate twice? i.e spend 800 at harvey norman and split it into 2 x 400 payments?

    • +3

      yes.

  • for the harvey norman offer, the terms says "Excludes payments made for AEG, Apple, Asko, De Dietrich, Elica, Fagor, Falcon, Gaggenau, Miele, NEFF and St George products."
i want to purchase an ipad, does the transaction go back to amex saying apple product purchased. would it be safer to just buy a gift card and use that to buy the ipad

    • +2

They can't tell what you buy; I saved $200 on my iPad mini 4G using last December's Amex Statement Credits for Harvey Norman

    • -5

      Why risk it.

Take an extra minute or two to buy the gift card.

      • lol to neg.

so the neg expert suggests risking the deal without buying the gift card (fully 2 mins of effort).

on reflection stupid advice I gave…. … please go ahead and buy it direct but don't blame amex when it is rejected.

  • Bought a bottle of Glenmorangie Signet for $131.48 delivered using the groupon voucher.

Or $120.88 if cashrewards works with it.

  • Thanks op.

Planning to buy the Philips xxl airfryer.

Ask them to price match JB $424. Then a $50 cash back from Philips. And then $50 from AMEX.

    • That's a good deal

Please some ninja hunt down the manual link for boozebud ;)

  • Do Hardley's ever have Macs 10% off ?

Parents iMac is starting to give up the ghost (after ten years) so I need to get a replacement. Just deciding whether to get some GCs and wait for another 10% off. I'd get them to price-match JB HiFi's sale today but none of the Brisbane stores have any Mac Minis in stock.

    • try price match online and get it delivered.

      • Yeah I did but the JB HiFi sale is in-store only.

  • Thanks, added the HN one.

Last year was better. $100 for $400 spend, ended up getting a PSVR and $50 PSN card for $309

Ironically just sold the PSVR on eBay tonight for $265 :)

  • The link isn't working for me… is this a direct link? Amex deal not showing on my dashboard :(
EDIT: nevermind - direct links on page 1 comment

  • Does anyone know if I can use the groupon $50 Boozebud credit for $10 and pay the rest using Boozebud egift card when ordering alcohols online? Cheers!

  • Stay away from boozebud, they always send emails regarding delays & take a few weeks to deliver

    • Took 1.5 weeks to deliver my order of 8 beers. Not terrible, but far from their best.

  • Does Harvey Norman allow split Amex payments?

    • Yes.

    • +2

Yes, but some store may insist the cards are in your name, otherwise they won't process it (hi HN Auburn!)

      • +1

        Tell them to get f…
        ok nah don't. Bad idea.

        • Hahaha especially when I was using it on an iPad mini which was against Terms and Conditions! 😏

        • A year later, bought an iPad pro from HN Auburn; sales assistant wanted IDs to match the names on the Amex cards used. Luckily I brought my dad with me as one of the cards was in his name :D

Last year I had my cousin's Amex but she wasn't with me at the time, so could only pay for half an iPad mini and had to ask her to come with me to pay for the other half on another day

anyone know if the HN e-giftcards bought online triggers the statement credit?

    • +1

They have for other people in the past, assuming the order gets processed. Sometimes they reject the order.

    • In the past I’ve had it work and not work. Risky.

  • Has anybody successfully had cashback tracked using the 25BUD new signup coupon on BoozeBud?

(Yes, I'm aware what it says in the T&Cs. Just asking, is all).

    • Yep, I received the cashback tracked email after using that code just now.

  • Has anybody used gift vouchers from Boozebud and had Cash Rewards tracking email? T&C say may not activate CR, I would have expected it would though.

  • My online order was rejected. Would I automatically receive refund or do I need to chase them?

  • Anyone know if the cash-back will be triggered if I bought something from Domayne?

    • it wont

  • has anyone brought a booze bud e gift card and received their amex credit? btw when do their gift cards expire?
