  • Got this last time. Great deal.
Still haven't used the line trimmer as my old one is still going strong

    • +2

Dont, the trimmer is extremely annoying as the blades continuously fly off.

      • I have the grey ozito model too which uses the same blade system. Never had a blade come off.
It's A great system. Beats having to wind a spool of line.

I also bought this last time. Blower is ok, a little underpowered but good for small/quick jobs.

The trimmer throws/break blades for me too when edging against hard edges such as a rock wall. If I'm careful it's ok, but yes, a bit of a pain.

Tip: buy replacement generic blades from ebay. A little trickier fitting as not quite the exact hole size, however, much much cheaper than the ozito replacements from Bunnings.

        • Good to know about the generic blade, but other than price, how does it compare to the original quality wise? Does it still break and/or fly off as often?

        • Do you pull out the metal guard?

I've been using the ebay blades and I find them easier to fit actually and they are also stronger too. I prefer them to the genuine ones.

These are the ones I got

          • @bleemo: Wow that is much much cheaper than the ozito blades from Bunnings! I got ripped off big time

      • I have this trimmer and have never had a problem with the plastic blades ever

      • That’s why the guy at Bunnings told me.

Got the Ryobi 18V instead, similarly priced. But their line keeps feeding itself whenever you release/pull the trigger.

        Both annoying.

      • If a blade comes off and hit a glass sliding door or windows would it break it?

  • Would this take care of a residential nature strip? …or do I really need a mower as well. (Not exactly a green thumb here.)

    • +1

Might take abit but you could do the nature strip. Id just get a manual push mower for 30-50$$$ personally

I upvoted this by mistake. Absolutely hate the blowers and trimmers.
    Really annoying.

    • … then don't buy any?

      • Spam servicing?

  • I bought this for $50 last year. I’m pretty sure mine came with a 3Ah battery not 2Ah.
For the price is pretty good but only for small jobs.

  • if want a better blow job get the blower deal with 2 batteries

  • Bought one and returned this set a few weeks ago. The grass trimmer uses individual blades that clip on and which snap really, really easily. Much better to use a line trimmer.

Actually just realised the skin only $79 version is different to the grass trimmer that comes with this kit. That has a rotating head.

Anyone know if this version in the kit can be used for edging? (gap between garden and driveway)
