If the small leaf blowers work on a micra, will this one boost my ls1, or do I have to buy 2?

The Ozito 18V jet blower twin battery kit for $149 is better value IMO, given it operates at a higher air output (~477 cubic feet per minute), and it's available nationwide.

That isnt even on the same power level 36v vs 18v

      • +1

        it's a twin 18V system. Not for double run-time.

        • -3

          36v is more power then a 18v

          • @asa79: Yes, but the Ozito is 36V as well. Though as the guy outlined already, 477 Ozito CFM > 450 Ryobi CFM so it is on a higher power level regardless of battery.

Only difference in terms of battery is shorter run time from the kit batteries with Ozito (3Ah vs 5Ah) but that's hardly worth $100 extra.

            • @Soothsayer: the one that is linked is 18v. its like comparing a 2 stroke mower to a 4 stroke mower

                • -1

@Soothsayer: So how that does explain comparing an 18v to a 36v?

Thats like saying things that run the same on 12v as on 6v, your logic is a bit off

You hook to 6v together to make 12v, which is the same as hooking two 18v together to make 36v

                  • @asa79: Why is the voltage even relevant given the air output, which I would assume is the most important metric by which a machine designed to blow air is measured, is in fact HIGHER for the cheaper machine?

These machines are targeted at home users who are unlikely to use them for more than 10-20 minutes at a time, which means even though the battery is "only" 18V (and there's two of them), it's plenty capable for the target audience.
